Raves still happen but are far and few between to what they originally were in the early 90s... things have pushed back underground which is what the culture is all about. Check out RaveGear.com. They stopped having raves in Philly but keep up their yearly Paradise rave which is in July. Besides that, really the scene has died in Philly. We fought so hard to keep Scorpion here and his group but they kept telling us there was no money for them here which was really a dissapointment to hear them selling out like that. My IM is IrishVamp7587, try and get the word out about Paradise, I hope we get a good turn out.

Hey Courtney, they didn't stop throwing parties because there was no money in it for them, The owners of chrome made them stop because there was no money in it for them Kiddo. Get ur shit str8. My name is Emily, i know Ryan the one who was in charge of everything, i use to go to almost every party they threw at Chrome and more than 80% of them they had the place packed. Then the Hip Hop kids from the other parts of the club started shit and drove the ravers away. Then the money stopped coming in and the owners of chrome said peace out. But i do know Ryan is still throwing parties to this day. Underground house parties. and anyone who'd be interested can email him if you know his e-mail. Some of the DJ's who use to spin chrome spin his house parties and alot of the same kids who went go too. It's the same just alot more fun now because it's truely is not about the cash. No cover, No asshole bouncers, No asshole Hip hop Q102 jerkoffs. Just the Music the people and the Mayhem. UNDERGROUND................the way it was ment to be. But have fun paying $10-$15 to go to paradise and have none of the DJ's that are advertised on the Flyer actually show up for the event like last year.

Yo bunnyrabbit, I wasn't talking about Ryan's raves, I used to go to those too and loved what he was doing, I wouldn't say anything bad about what he was doing, I knew they screwed him over, he told me all about it. I was refering to the ravegear parties with Scorpion not Ryan's. I knew Paradise wouldn't be what they say, it never was, but the first one was amazing and I just kept hoping it will be the same. But now they're not even having it, I don't know why. And sorry Scorpion for saying you sold out, it just really bothers me that it's not like it used to be, we used to have so much fun with you, and I always gave you so much praise.

Hey peoples, I am the one who started this and forgot about it until recently because of a change in email address. Anyone who is a longtime philly raver probably remembers Local 13. They used to throw the philly parties back in the day. Well earlier this month they made their come-back with BANG 4. I went and had lots of fun. But let's hope scorpion still comes threw and has it eventually because it's the only time i ever see any of the heads who use to go to the Warehouse parties, and god knows i miss them peoples and parties. I have house parties from time to time i'll post next time i have one if i remember, for anyone who's interested. There are totally some parties still going on in the city check out www.phillytechno.org they have a messageboard, good people and parties. WOW.what to say what to say. Well........as long as there are people who are passionate about the music and the scene, the scene will always exist. Even if your just throwing house parties for free, it's all about keeping it alive! if you love it, spread the love of the music to ANYONE you can that's how a scene is started. All you hafta do is Burn some C.D.'s or even tape some of ur favorite tracks, and give it to anyone and everyone,and people will catch on, and then you have a scene. it's all about heart kids. You can't just expect to have Events thrown at you, you hafta make them happen! But anywho, if anyone ever wants to have a party and has a decent spot to have one, get in touch with me if you need Dj's or equipment. I have a 40ft. schoolbus fully equipped to throw an event anywhere anytime, Fully stocked with power generator, Dj equipment, Lighting, sound system, lasers, Literally a party on wheels ! Also a really chill place to just hang. But if you need to get in contact with me i'm sure you'll find a way, it's not hard. I came across this site by accident but i got some things that may help you out. First theres a partee going on right outside of Wilkes Barre, PA thanksgiving night. WB is like minutes or so north of Allentown and like 30-45 minutes west of Stroudsburgh.
