Rob, it's SO sadgreenspun.com : LUSENET : FRL friends : One Thread |
The Denver Airport roof cracked under the weight of snow today."Almost 5 feet of wet, heavy flakes fell Wednesday at Denver International Airport, ripping its fabric roof and forcing officials to move nearly 4,000 people stranded by the storm out of the main terminal."
I remember when we joked about it. Just thought you should know.
;-)
Here's hoping things go better with the war. (((((FRLians)))))

Yes, incredible sights from Denver crossing my TV screen. Brrrr-so glad I am not there, and won't even complain about it only getting to 70 tomorrow! This war "feels" even worse to me than y2k. Hugs all around indeed, Gayla. We all need one right now. Prayers going up not just for those stranded in Denver airport, but our men and women in service to our country. May they be safe and protected from harm in the days and weeks to come.

Yikes! I saw on the news that they were getting pounded - worse storm in 20 years - but didn't hear about the roof. I have to send an 'e' to a good friend who's out that way and see how they are making out. BTW, I really don't remember joking much about all of the snow except when I wrote about the kid's sledding adventures... mostly I remember doing a lot of complaining in my posts this winter about all the bitter cold and snow.I second your emotion about the war. I've got another month and a half in my present 'assignment'...things are being talked about I've never heard discussed before...just a sign of the times.
At least now I can visit here for some sanity ;-) Off to send that 'e' now. BFN, Rob

No, I meant we were joking about the Denver Airport... whip cream or something. LOL! I hope things go OK with your job!My heart is in my throat, Aunt Bee. I'm praying too! I can't imagine how the families of our soldiers are feeling. I wonder about terror here at home? So many unknowns.

Be safe, Rob.
