When you consider the source, you begin to see the whole thing in a different light.

"when Pope John Paul II declared unequivocally on September 16, 1987 (to the assembled body of U.S. Bishops) that dissent from the authentic teaching of the Magisterium was not compatible with being a good Catholic"

Hi Jake do you know where I can find this document from the Pope? Thanks.

"With the possible exception of the issue of the ordination of women, none of these questions pertain to the doctrines of the Catholic Church and all pertain to the style of ecclesiastical governing and organizational structure."

The good news is, we can't possibly have run out of doctrines yet... we still have modernists.

Here you go. It wasn't a document, it was an address.

Thanks

No worries.

Jake, Have you seen the movie?

The Christology that I have studied taught that Jesus had both a divine and human nature. The movie over emphasized his human nature. No doubt. And I didn't like the movie.

But, at the end of the movie, Jesus' divine nature won out over the human. Not so far-fetched if you think about it. I believe that by being "human", Jesus showed us by example that we can all live a Godly life even if we struggle with our human nature. God bless,

Jake, Let me add that if one ignores Jesus' human nature, one comes very close to Docetism, an early heresy. God Bless,

Jake, Have you seen the movie?

If by "the movie" you refer to the piece of filth entitled "The Last Temptation of Christ," no. I have better things to do with $8.75 than to line the pockets of the subhuman trash that created it.

Jake, Let me add that if one ignores Jesus' human nature, one comes very close to Docetism, an early heresy.

Our Blessed Lord is True God and True Man. That is an article of faith, and I cling to it with my whole heart. Also, I'd say that the heresy you mentioned works both ways. Wouldn't you?
