This isnt actually a question, but more of an announcement. Recently, the first ever sonic the hedgehog series has come out in japan (compared to 3 already in the usa) on april 6th, and its already available for download!!!!!the series is much better than all the other ones in my opinion, should be viewed by all (im a big sonic fan - but in this case it doesnt matter cos the series is worth watching anyway)
get it from www.sonicanime.net
p.s. onlly the first ep has been subbed so far, and only 2 have come out. the third episode shall be broadcast on the 19th april (every saturday in japan from 8:30 - 9:00 am)

Given what I have seen of the series thus far (that being 3 episodes) I'd say that this series is gonna be a winner.it was quoted that when an anime of Pokemon was made that it raised it's popularity level for that brand. Sega are saying quite confidently that this series will do exactly the same for our beloved blue Hedgehog.
anyhoo, lets just hope that it'll keep all these non-Sonic fans quiet about him not having the appeal no more.

Actually, this isn't the first Sonic anime from Japan. There has been at least one other (that I'm aware of). You may recall the Sonic Movie release a few years ago? It was actually 2 episodes from the Sonic series in Japan that America decided to release because they didn't think the series itself would do go over here. And it's every Sunday 8:30-9 in Japan with the series coming to America in the Fall, possibly on Fox (that's what my friend heard).

Mysia Ri, from what i heard, the sonic anime was not from a series, as it was done in a similar style to endless waltz - same story, just in movie or episode format. though i havent seen those episodes/movie, i was pretty sure they were self contained stories, and not part of another, longer series, particularly because i checked the translation of sega's speech, and i remember it saying how america had already got 3 series of sonic on tv, but this was the first time one had been aired in japan, and there was a lot of hype surrounding its release.anyway, it doesnt matter who is wrong or who is right (sonic adventure 2 lyrics for sonics theme ;) ) as this post was to announce the new series anyway

i dunno...i mean. sonic x loks awesome. the visual is really impressive! i like the comp graphics. but there have been other, and there's ppl saying that sonic x is going to turn out to be like a digimon-ish sonic, (Since the human characters make sonic look like his pet side kicks) not enough have been released to tell, but there's possibility that sonic x WILL be a pokemonish anime, like some1 said, but that ISNT good `but thank goodness there's one good sonic officially out, the SATAM.

yeah, i also think there is a possility of it becoming pokemon style, but i think it's not large enough to worry about - mainly cos sonic is too cool and has over 10 years of videogaming to back him up, and that the series i think is currently only supposed to last for 13 eps at the mo (if it was made to carry on for about 400 episodes then we should begin to worry bout it becoming pokemonish).but even if we're against sonic x becoming pokemon like (great game, but franchise kills it) sega would love it, cos remember the boost nintendo got from the pokemon franchise. sega would love something like that to happen.
personally im not against pokemon games, but i am against the franchise. the game was fun, and i think it still stands as a great rpg.
lastly, i reckon sonic is just too different a style to become like pokemon or digimon - sonic is not about training creatures till they become strong enough to battle. its about whizzing round levels really quickly and beating eggman/robotnik in a bunch of strange inventions - basically cos they are so different i dont think they could suffer the same fate.
sorry i go on for so long, but i think u get my point :)
