What format is it in. For example divx/AVI or RM?

If it's an AVI file check out my tutorial on my website it should help you. It's listed under "How to make VCDs". If it's not an AVI file I still may be able to help you. You'll just need some extra instructions.

to know if its avi or mpeg, usually it just says it at the end of the file/file extension.

the way i burn avi's to vcd is by just putting it into nero, and let it do the encoding for me. worked with my dbz movies

if its an mpg, then ur cd burning software should have no problem setting it up for burning.

might i inquire as to what cd burning software u have? (i really dont like how this question makes me sound)

just trying my nero with an mpg, and all u have to do when u select to create a vcd is to drag the file into the mpegav folder, which is when it askes u to re-encode it or not (usually say yes). thats all the setup i need, and from there i burn it.

provided ur burning software lets u make vcd's, then the process i mentioned should be very similar, if not identical to what would happen to u.

Yeah, if you have Nero Burning Rom and a CD writer, you're home free. All you have to do now is D/L TMPGEnc and run it. Cancel the Wizard and open your video file (It will appear in your audio and video slots) Next, choose what you want to name the new file that is to be created, and choose a directory too. Afterwards, go to setting at the bottom, and choose NTSC (This will is the VCD format for the U.S.) Then press start and TMPGEnc will encode your Video file into the correct VCD format. Afterwards, open up Nero and Create a new VCD. Then rename your Disk (At the top) and then click and drag your encoded file into the CD folder. After you transfer all your files, (Limit is like 80 minutes, or 750MB) go to File, Write CD and click burn. Everything else is Pie....
