Hello How long should it take to learn these pieces. a)Bach's Eight 2 Pt Invention b)Chopin's Fantaise Impromptu c}Mozart's "Easy" Sonata in C d)Beethoven's 20th Sonata e)Beethoven's 29th Sonata Op.106 a.k.a. HammerKlavier f)Chopin's Etude Op.10 No.3 g)Beethoven's 31th Sonata, Opus 111 Give me a separate answer for each of these pieces and each of these skill levels. a)Beginner- Low b)Beginner- High c)Inter- Low d)Inter- High e)Advanced- Low f)Advanced- High g)Pro These are with a person with average intelligence. Also, add for the following practice hours a)30 Minutes b)1 hour c)2 hours d)3 hours e)5 hours f)8 hours Should the times be different for a gifted program?

Answers

Each of these pieces can be learnt simultaneously in 32 years, 2 months, four days, and ten minutes based on a person with an IQ of 324.5. Hope this helps.

Anita: Just to let you know that the IQ system is based on an average of 100. So someone with an IQ of over 300 would be an absolute genious! So I would say that your requirements of such a high IQ are not required. Anyway, I would say that an IQ in the area of about 180 would be more that sufficient! ;-)

Funny stuff :) I will NEVER learn the Hammerklavier, so you can include "infinity" in your list of times. But seriously, folks-- Donnie, I'm just curious--I wonder why you are trying so hard to micro-manage piano playing? Are you putting together a book or a class or a goal-sheet or something?
