I would have to say the original dub of Dragon Ball, or also know as, The Lost 80's dub the one done by Harmony Gold. Though I never saw it I heard some clips. Some sound clips and information can be found at, http://www.templeotrunks.com/media/lost_dub/index.html

Kenshin tv series...*cringes at the thought*
-- Anonymous, June 09, 2003
Ranma 1/2 hmmm crap there was another really really bad one i just watched the other day....
-- Anonymous, June 09, 2003
Do you mean we have to pick just one, and some ppl wonder why ppl watch subtitled anime
-- Anonymous, June 09, 2003
I'd say yu-gi-oh or card captors
-- Anonymous, June 09, 2003
probably dragonball, especially gt - god i hate that intro - they changed a love song into "gotta find those dragonballs..."also ranma is pretty shit aswell. yugioh isnt that bad, but much worse than its japanese counterpart.
gundam wing has ok dubbs, though quatre and relina are shit, heero, trowa and duo i think fit the part well.

INUYASHA DEFINETLY IS THE WORST!! i hate all dubs though. did you know they cast Shippo's voice to a girl? bahh.. i could rant all day about this, but i won't.
-- Anonymous, June 09, 2003
All dubbed anime are bad. No need to pick only one.
-- Anonymous, June 09, 2003
i think the worst one ever was the dubbed golden boy eps. THEY SUKED ASS
-- Anonymous, June 09, 2003
akira my god yes the dubbing was terrible!
-- Anonymous, June 09, 2003
kazle, i dont think giving male characters female voices and vica versa is always a bad thing. look at kenshin (japanese one), he is played by a woman, yet in every other language u see him he is played by a guy, and it does not suit him, cos the voice is WAY too deep.
-- Anonymous, June 09, 2003
yes, i like kienshin's voice in japanese, i also like goku's and gohans voice werent they done by a girl? it makes them sound innocent. The worst Dub is ranma, really i dont like any dub none of them are done very good.
-- Anonymous, June 09, 2003
Well, not ALL dubs are bad, although the *VAST* majority of them are. Cowboy Bebop has a pretty decent dub. Yu Yu Hakusho, i think, caught Yusuke and Keiko's voices right on the ball. However, i think we all know that kuwabara's voice sounds like crap, literally. Botan's voice is really weirded up. She is supposed to have a fake British accent, but her voice is always gradually fading in and out between a British and an American accent. It's like she cant decide what she is. If it weren't for those voices and certain others, Yu Yu Hakusho would be a decent dub also.

ranma and speed racer are the worst!who would watch that crap?!
-- Anonymous, June 10, 2003
mememe thanks! goldenboy is the worst
-- Anonymous, June 10, 2003
Well, the only one I have to say is Inuyasha (the dub is really bad). I haven't really seen both the dub and the sub of many other series. Although I have seen Dragonball both dubbed and subbed, and I have to say I prefer the sub. However that's really just because Funimation edits it so that it's kiddy friendly, and all of the funny things get tossed to the wayside. I was especially disappointed with the Master Roshi nose bleed incident that got explained away as tomato soup in the Funimation version (if you've seen both versions you'll know what I'm talking about). Oh well, I guess everything's not for the kiddies. ^_^

kirara, its the same for other series such as yugioh, which in japanese have a lot more violence.hey, does anyone know if the dubbed rurouni kenshin is edited, because i remember seeing a vcd box with an 18 rating on it for this series - and even though it doesnt deserve that rating, its still pretty violent, so i wonder how they can make it into a kids cartoon?
on a side note, has anyone seen the kenshin ova's? now THAT has a lot of gore (instead of when the enemy is cut and the image goes strange colours, u watch the sword pierce them nicely and watch their red blood spurt everywhere - best example is when kenshins master saves him when he was 5-6).

I saw Trigun subbed first, so I didn't really like the dub, but later I got use to it. Worse dub? Ranma 1/2
-- Anonymous, June 11, 2003
I'd haev to say the worst dub I've ever seen would have to be 'Cardcaptors'. I mean .... aaaggghhh .... there are just so many things wrong with the dub I don't even want to start.
-- Anonymous, June 11, 2003
Somebody tell me whats wrong with dubbed episodes of anime. Sombody need to tell me. Because frankly I don't see anything wrong.
-- Anonymous, June 11, 2003
the last couple of episodes of Star Ocean series. . . . watch the first episodes. . then compare um. . .
-- Anonymous, June 11, 2003
I don't give a flying frick about the Star Ocean series somebody tell me the diffrence. The only two shows in which I see the diffrence is in Yu-Gi-Oh and DBZ.
-- Anonymous, June 11, 2003
Samuraigirl i agree with you that some dubs are good but some are bad as well and we are just pointing out some of the bad ones, so mabye someone else wont have the misfortue of seeing it.
-- Anonymous, June 13, 2003
I didn't like the dubbed series of Escaflowne. The japanese was sooo much better.. especially for Merle's voice. It was sooo cuuute!! but then in english.. BLEH I just couldn't stand it.. *cringes*

When I herd Xello's dubbed voice the first time(slayers) I laughed so hard I cried. Slayers dubbed is evil. hissss.
-- Anonymous, June 29, 2003
i thought golden boy's dubbing was excellent. love hina's dub, however, is the worst. they ruined kaolla!
-- Anonymous, July 03, 2003
I like the dubbed versions, they don't bother me so much, it's neat that they brought the great world of Anime to America. I just don't like the fact that when I see it on Tv on Cartoon Network that it's cut, I watched Rurouni Kenshin the other day when Sanosuke was fighting the Monk to get to Shishio I noticed that Sanosuke had blood on his face, when I watched it, the blood all the sudden disapeard, so I do like the Dubbed, but Cut I could live with out.

Sailor Moon! They go form cursing to sayin' "You're so MEAN" and the villians get upset OH MY GOD WHAT AN INSULT!
-- Anonymous, July 07, 2003
KENSHIN IS THE WORST
-- Anonymous, July 08, 2003
HOW COME ALL OF THE JAPANESE ANIME IS MORE VIOLENT?!
-- Anonymous, July 12, 2003
INUYASHA DUBBED SUCKS!!! Kaede's voice is sooo fake!!!! anyways, it sucks!
-- Anonymous, July 12, 2003
ok since i saw ranma in english first...(when i was little) im soooooo use to ranmas voice it doesnt even bug me and since the same person does inuyashas voice...im alright with it but everybody eles voice is crap especially kagome and kaede..uhhh awful. but i think the worst would have to be........kenshin, or trigun...
-- Anonymous, July 12, 2003
InuYasha dub *is* bad. I really did try to be open minded about the new English voices, but I just couldn't warm up to them no matter how hard I tried. Kaede's voice would be okay, but the voice ACTING sucks... Sango and Shippou's voices are crap too...Someone mentioned a girl being cast as Shippou's voice in the dub... Well, Shippou's JAPANESE voice is also played by a girl. The Japanese (female) voice actor of Shippou is MUCH better, nonetheless.

Yu Yu Hakusho movie 2 (Poltergeist Report)!!! US Manga did a HORRIBLE job dubbing! I cried because of the horrible dubbed version!
-- Anonymous, July 20, 2003
I've got some of the DBZ movies that were dubbed by people with heavy Chinese accents. Not much acting done with them. I don't think some of them could even speak English, they just said the lines. That was a very bad dub experience. Scary though, I actually got where I could understand what they were saying. ^_^

Hi!Does someone know why they changed Ranma's voice in the last series?
Was it that bad? :'D
bye All

Gundam 0083... I wanted to punch every single character.
-- Anonymous, August 01, 2003
YUGIOH! And I don't have cable or anything so i haven't seen a lot of other ones. But they take out all the drama, the violence, and the VOICES! I hear those voices on all the other shows they air. Marik sounds like something crawled down his throat and died, Yugi's voice doesn't fit his age and the way he's drawn, Bakura...well I like his voice, but I like it better in Japanese, Anzu is just annoying and much older sounding then a 16 year old, Kaiba...his voice is too evil, he at least sounds like he isn't over 20. I mean come on, he's like 16, and he sounds like an evil old man, and Honda's voice keeps changing on every episode?
-- Anonymous, August 31, 2003
Hi! Ranma is quite good subbed, expect of that scene in the episode with Nabiki-Ranma's new Fiance! Did you notice? That scene on the balcony...in Anime Ranma is apologizing saying "We didnt meant to hurt you - Get of it already" and in Manga he says "We definitely were not working together - It was only a coincidence that it happend at the same time" (about making fun of Akane if you arent that of a fan ;-)) So the funny scence was ruined with bad sub....what do you think? Jackie

Kenshin defidently, when i saw it on cartoon network, i almost doubled over laughing. Sano's voice is too deep and retarded and kenshin's voice isn't nearly as good as the japanese version since he can't say oro ^_^ Trigun dubbed is also bad since he can't do the high pitch whining like in the jap versions...
-- Anonymous, August 31, 2003
Ranma 1/2 was pretty gruesome to listen to, but unfortunately the subbed isn't much better. I'm a fan of the manga, but the anime just plain sucks. The current CN Kenshin dub is horrible as well, but I'm pretty sure I've watched another dub that almost bordered on good. Otherwise I don't have much truck with dubbed anime so I can't really say.
-- Anonymous, August 31, 2003
Love Hina or Sailor Moon. Dubbed anime isn't so bad... Unless you've seen the original japanese version.
