a few people and myself are considering making an anime board of forum (either at the mo) for everyone here to go on, but where flamers and trouble makers can be controlled and dealt with. but before that, we wanted to ask if there were people willing to join that forum. catagories would be different types of anime, and u could post with the same questions that u have now etc.

but a few questions first: 1. would people actually go on that board, or just ignore it and stay here? 2. if u did want a cool forum, what would u want to call it? (basically name suggestions!)

Why not call it after your two or three favorite anime?

Mine would be Kenshin, Bastard, Video girl Al

So the forum would be called "Kenshin's Bastard video forum" but thats just plain offensive!!

I hope your favorite Animes have a decent name.

I can't think of any names, every one I think of seems to be taken, but anyone with anime or ani in the title will problably be fine.^_^ Animeplace, Animecenter, etc. So, will this forums be on a free server, or will it be hosted by someone? And if hosted, any plans on what kind of forum (Invison, YaBB, phpbb, EZBoard, vB, D.C., UBB) it will be?

Okay, most likely the message board we create will require users to register, so when you register and create a name for yourself NO ONE can steal it from you unless they get your password. Sorry if you don't like that idea, but it's really the one of the only ways to keep flamers off of the board. ^_^

Well, that's all I can think of... and I have no clue how to name a forum, mind you (i guess "Ani" is common in names, as stated above?). I like Anivision the most.

BTW, I'm there if you do make a new forum. :o) Will people be able to post if they are visitors, though (with the option to edit content, of course)? I did like that about this forum--to help anyone who surfed on.

It depends on the kind of forum we get. On some you can post as a vistor and other's you can. However if vistors can post you risk having flamers, and that's one of the things we're trying to avoid. However, we could try and risk it and see how it goes. ^_^

just a general suggestion for a title of the forum: add a japanese word before or after the word "anime". arigatou-anime, anime-banzai, himitsu-anime, mainichi-anime, thats all i can think of right now bleh. for those of you who don't know what these mean: arigatou=thanks, banzai=hurray/yay, himitsu=secret, mainichi=everyday... uh huh yep i'm an otaku

yeah, kirara told me that u found it. i reckon we should try that, cos at least we shall give it a shot without too much hassle to start with, and we cant really expect thousands of members to join up at once!
