I have been watching Kikaider on adult swim (not every episode, but a lot). The show was sooo cool, but then I thought it was all over when Gill's lab blew up and Jiro didn't go back to see Mitsco and Dr. Komioji. After that there were a few episodes that were pretty dumb in which Jiro keeps running into brothers and sisters he didn't know he had...what is going on?!?! What happened to Mitsco and Masaru and Dr. Komioji? Did they go over-seas for his the Dr. to recover? Is the show over? I can't take it!!!

Ur rite!! I thought it end too, but the new one started and Gill is still alive. I saw yesterday episode too. Jiro killed Gill and even his own brother's. It was sooo dumb. I think it end now bc Jiro died too.

It is a good show, but at times, it's just like a soap opera. Those last few episodes were sooo awful though. Anytime a show tries to introduce that many new characters in that short amount of time, you know you have trouble.

Actually I noticed on the Internet there was the DVD's for the episodes including the bonus episodes (the last four we saw this week) and a movie DVD for Kikaider the animation! I think he has to be still alive if there is a movie about him! you think Mitsko is in it? maybe they make a family? I dunno... I'm gonna get it though, I gotta see it!

Yeah I know I really want to know what happened I missed one episode (when they attack Dark) and now I have been left in the DARK! I really want to know what happend I mean you dont drop people like Mitsuko and Dr. Komioji after you hear about them for so long, It has bbeen driving me crazy to also the last episode where they kill the armegedon lord could have been better if

a.) It was not a big chinky machine they fight but a or a bunch of strong human sized ones. b.) Kikaider and all his brothers and sister surive (at least for the fight). c.) They shed some light on Dr. Komioji and his daughter Mitsuko and son Masaru (what ever happened to them). d.)They reunite Jiro with Mitsuko I mean there was a sort of bond there that held the series up a bit more (AKA I LIKE MITSUKO, She very atractive.

well, i say dat Kikaider is one of the greatest anime's ever!!! i totally fell in love with Jiro. :) he is like so cool and so cute!! but him and Mitsuko goes well with him. i haven't seen the make out scene in the anime, but if i keep watching it, i will...:) o, and i want to see the part when Jiro cries...:(

Cartoon Network has been shifting things around lately.. a lot of shows got screwed up. I think that if they hadn't added Cyborg 009 & Big O then the Kikaider episodes they were showing would have continued because it seemed as though the ending of that last episode was leading to something. It couldn't have ended there because he said that he was finally 'truly human' because of that thing they put in him. Even though those episodes weren't as good as the others, I had hoped that they would continue them so we'd know what happened to him... but now we're back to the beginning...oh well... Hey: Does anyone know why no one sells any Kikaider stuff? i can't even find the DVDs...

Well, I disagree that Kikaider sucks! Kikaider's the best!! I kinda like Jiro, but when I saw his older brother, Ichiro, I instantly fell in love with him! I think Ichiro has a cool attitude, plus I like the guy who does his voice: Steve Prince. Well, anyways, that's my opinion. Ichiro RULES!!!

well now you have to have the wole story, Kikaider the animation ws based off a 1970'live-action/advedture sereis called Kikaider. the first serires was just like the kikaider we all know and love with the characters of jiro, mitsuko, masaru, and komioji. even the bumbling dectective and his assistant were in it. in that sereis gill controled his robots using a flute, just like in the cartoon. when that series ended in the destruction of gill's lab jiro actually left the komiojis to explore his new found humanity, peomising mitsuko, whom he had fallen in love with, to return one day.

come the 80's fans wanted more kikaider, so the original producers of the show slapped together a writing team and came up with kikaider: the adventure continues (roughly translated) the new show had absolutely nothing to do with the original series and was more of a "what if" series. in the show gill had taded in his body for the hikaider form, jiro had a COMPLETED coscious cricut and the komiojis didn't even exits, dr komioji had died years earlier without bearing any children (the series eventually explained that was the reason he becme a roboticist)here he hade the other two kikaiders and bijinder and all that fun stuff. however that series ended a lot better thanthe animation counterpart, with gill dear, and all the "good" robotes surviving his persecution. in conclusion, the animators of kikaider the animation were trying to incorporate the best of both series into the mix, it was their best effort at the time but it ws also the worst decsion they could have made. they were trying to please the old fans of the show while still trying to gain a younger fan base so don't blame the animators, they were trying to only please you

well, i love Kikaider!! and i love COWBOY BEBOP, and Inuyasha,and TRIGUN they are all so fucken tight, but to tell u the truth, cartoon network have been putting these stupid shows on, like Lupin III, and reign, sorry to say but they are freakin gay, and the animation sux, they should play inuyasha, COWBOYBEBOP, and kikaider, and trigun.

Alright here's the deal. The last four episodes are the OVA series. In the 70's live action show, these last four episodes take place three years after the first episodes. I agree that the ending sucked and it didn't make any sense. Alright, now I saw the REAL ending of the last episode of the OVA series. What happens basically, Jiro survives ( Duh! The hero never dies!), you hear that girl saying the ending of Pinocchio ( sp?) and it ends like the first ending. Jiro is walking and he turns back and looks behind. Poor Jiro! Except, he's crying. No one really know what happens to Mitsuko and the Komyoji's. I don't understand the whole plot because well, who ever thought of Gill having a son? What type of women would.......Never mind. But his son looked too cute to be his son. I mean wouldn't Gill's son look ugly? Except if his mom was pretty ( I doubt). Ichiro was a great character. I think the OVA series was rushed. They kept on introducing all these characters so you didn't even get enough time to get to know them. I'm going to sound evil but I was happy when that one girl died! For a minute I thought she was going to take Mitsuko's place! But she couldn't though cause in a way she was Jiro's sister. I just thought it was too melodramatic cause Rie, Bijinder, and Ichiro die! I mean at least they should have all survived ( Except of that girl). I hope they make new episodes with Mitsuko and the Komyoji's in it. EEEEE I LIVE JIRO SO MUCH! He is the cutest...but I can't stand the last episodes, they all sucked! It's obvious that everyone has agreed on this...whoever slapped together the last four really did a poor job, and they eliminated all of the other important characters from the original. I somehow don't believe that could actually conclude the show. *SIGHHH*

Daisy, you are mistaken on one part: Bijinder lived. She was the only one to make it.

But then again, being androids...couldn't they be put back together again if handled by an expert...say....Komyouji.

My theory is that Hattori got information that Dark was still around and Gill somehow survived, so he told her to get her dad and Masaru out of there as quick as possible because they were good targets. And if that's what happened, I'd say Hanpei was right because the town that the big robot trashed was hers! If you look close at the crowd at the end of the OVA, you'll see Hattori and Etsuko.

Of course, you'll know it's her town because they stopped by her house and got the book, remember? ;D

No she doesn't. She dies. Cause I saw the whole last episode and you can see that Bijinder died and right beside her you see the Pinnochio book. I dunno but your theory sounds pretty good and I would agree with you on that.
