omg hiyao miyazaki is the greatest!!!! spirited away is my 2nd fave movie (cb being my 1st of course)!!! my absolute fave part was when haku was a dragon and he was flying and bleeding all over the place! it was so well drawn, my mouth was hanging open for the rest of the movie! i can't really think of a least fave part except for when that no-face thing was throwing up everywhere i don't like stuff like that. :-P

It's an excellent movie. Watch it a couple more times and you might be able to catch several of the well-hidden metaphors, symbolism, and satire.

I thought it was a great movie also. My favorite characters was Haku and Chihiro. But, have you guys watched Princess Mononoke? That one was also a great movie. Or how about Castle In The Sky? That one was also a great movie. Or how about Kiki's Delivery Service? That one was good, but not as good as the other movies Hiyao Miyazaki made.

well, i thought it would be stupid because i had never heard of Miyazaki before so i didnt know what i could expect from him.

Yeah Sarah! I got the DVD too! This is a little bit off to the side, but when I watched the extras and saw how Miyazaki made his "Poorman's ramen", I realized I made it the same way too haha... Amalia, yeah I watched all of those. A really good Studio Ghibli fansite is < http://www.nausicaa.net >.

I love Spirited Away and Princess Mononoke, but I think the most incredible of Miyazaki's work is Grave of the Fireflies. For a long time I didn't realize that he did that movie, but when I found out I thought "Of Course!" Who else could make such an incredible anime film?

i saw it but i didn't like the ending...she'll never see haku again!!!!well i like princess mononoke....ashitaka was cool....my favorite part was when sen saved haku with that medicine ball thing.....^-^

Grave of the Fireflies is such a sad movie ;_; I like all of Miyazaki's movies, but my personal favorite has to be Whisper of the Heart. It's a really good coming-of-age story for all of you who are lost in life.

were did you get Wisper of the heart? I've been looking for it for a long time now but the only way I can get it is if I pay $48 for a Ghibli box set that encludes Wisper of the heart and 11 other movies.
