I don't hate Kikyo. I can't say that I love her either. I just tolerate her presence. Like I said earlier, I don't think that Kikyo and Inuyasha are meant to be together. Everything seems to work against them. I take it as a sign. You can take it as whatever you want to. ^_^

I think Kagome and Inuyasha are good together. He and Kikyou were a good couple too, but she died, so whether she came back or not, that really stopped their relationship. I think Hojo is soo cute though. What about Hojo? Everyone is always talking about a love-triangle: Kikyou-Inuyasha-Kagome. But it really isn't that at all because Koga and Hojo love Kagome. Ok, here it is! Naraky tricked InuYasha and Kikyou into hating eachother. After Kikyou sealed InuYasha to the tree she DIED! Then Kagome came from her time into InuYasha's life. They basically fell in love with eachother, but InuYasha just isn't the type to tell Kagome. Then Kikyou is unaturally raised from the dead by Kagome's soul being stolen. So Kikyou should NOT BE ALIVE! She wakes up wanting to kill InuYasha and hating him. Since Kikyou tries to kill InuYasha, Kagome (hearing InuYasha's cry of pain) calls her soul back to her body. But Kikyou remains to be alive, only because of her hatred of InuYasha. Then the only way for her survival is for her to take women's souls from their bodies. Come on that ain't natural. She's suppose to be dead. Then she tries to take InuYasha to hell while Kagome is watching, without InuYasha knowing she's there. Once he realized that Kagome was there, he totall forgets about Kikyou. So obviously doesn't love Kikyou more. I would say he loved them evenly. Then Kikyou leaves, to later find out that Naraku killed her. Later though she HELPS NARAKU! Naraku was making these demons combine with his body. While InuYasha was kicking some A$$, instead of Kikyou shooting one of the demons, which would've prevented Naraku to become stronger, she shoots InuYasha's sword! Then Naraku kidnaps Kikyou, and tells Kikyou to kill Kagome. She's really twisted cuz she almost succeded, and Kagome's too nice to tell InuYasha that she did try to kill her, and then Kikyou gives Naraku the big jewel shard that she stole from Kagome to Naraku, THE ENEMY. Then later on Koga tells Kagome he loves her, and Hojo once again asks Kagome out. But Kagome doesn't return Koga's love, because of Inuyasha. And also declines Hojo's proposal. So in the end Kagome and InuYasha are meant to be. Kikyou should be dead, and Koga hopelessy approaches Kagome.

JAMMIN, major corrections. Naraku did not tell Kikyou to kill Kagome, Kikyou tried to kill her on her own. Plus strictly speaking she wasn't even kidnapped, because she said she could have moved at any time if she wanted to, she just wanted to see what Naraku was up to. Kikyou also said she gave Naraku the jewel so that he could complete it, then she would wipe both him and the jewel off the face of the planet. It was pretty obvious at the point in time that Naraku had a better chance of completing the jewel than Inuyashatachi and their happy-go-lucky attitude. This is what happened in the manga, at any rate. Know your facts before you start talking too much.

Kikyo, shes much more mature and better looking then Kagome :P and she was the one who made Inu-Yasha "more human" is the first place. Without her Inu-yasha would problably be a demon. I think Kagome is a better match for Inuyasha, not because I hate Kikyo -- though I most sincerely do -- but in the time Kikyo and Inuyasha were together, Inuyasha did not truly change very much. But during the series, you can see how he evolves into a kinder person under Kagome's care.

I really don't think Kikyo and Kagome are the same at all. Kikyo is so quiet, reserved, and calm, while Kagome is loud and often becomes angry. Their dynamics are completely different because of their time period, so while they share the same soul, their spirits have flourished in two very different ways. I mean, can you see Kikyo getting really angry and yelling, "Sit!" at Inuyasha, or Kagome tripping and falling into Inuyasha's arms and not pulling away with a big blush and lots of stuttering?

Kagome is good for Inuyasha, because he can get angry and let it all out. With Kikyo, he could just yell and yell, and she would calmly sit and wait for him to finish. Not so much with Kagome. He needs to vent, to have someone yell back at him, because one of Inuyasha's biggest traits is his explosive temper, and he couldn't give in to it with Kikyo. He would just become frustrated silently.

Also, Kagome has a wide array of emotions. She can smack Inuyasha around, then hold him close and comfort him. She can bicker or cry or be sappy or rebellious. How many emotions do we see in Kikyo? Placidness, maybe some bitter anger, and a little bit of evilness?

What would it be like if Kikyo and Inuyasha actually got together? Kikyo is bitter and probably always will be; could they really be happy? She's definitely not the girl Inuyasha loved.

In the end, it's really a matter of opinion, but I think Kagome has enough fire in her to bring Inuyasha out of his shell. Kikyo is impressive in her own right -- she does, after all, have the same awesome soul as Kagome -- but I find her much to bitter and cold to make a happy relationship with Inuyasha.

Of course, that doesn't mean I like Inuyasha+Kagome. Now, Koga+Kagome, that's a good couple....

Well I think it's Kikyo. Well for one they did love each other 50 years ago. They think of each other. And the reason that Inu is after Narku is to kill him for doing what he did to Kikyo and himself. Kikyo still loves Inuyasha. During the black miko curse she told the black miko kill the girl but Kill inuyasha i'll kill you. c'mon! then when inuyasha saved Kikyo from that soul eating demon, narku sent that thing after her when she laughed at him saying because of o, (i don't know how to spell narku or his human in case you haven't noticed -_-) heart Inuyasha saved her. after she told him about Naraku having dirty feelings for her she pulled a knife on him. then it came down when he hugged her and said i won't let Nakura have you don't you see only i can protect you. actually know that i think of it. Kagome/Inuyasha are a good coupling. but inuyasha needs to let kikyo go. as kikyo does him. but if they do love each they should get back together and let Kagome get to gether with Koga. but inuyasha won't let that happen. he needs to choose already...geez...he has two girls after him not to mention rabid fangirls...lucky bastard.

I agree with Cute Kirara. This whole thing is a little dumb.We can say what we think about the whole 'love triangle', but it's not us who decides what's going to happen with Inuyasha. Some people are always trying to brake someone up. I don't think we should be saying bad things about characters or saying that we hate Kikyou or hate Kagome. I don't think Rumiko wanted to get this far in hatred.She wanted this to be a little hint giving of his decision. If we try to make it for him, it wouldn't get us any closer to the light. Rumiko already has this plot set out.If we say that we don't like someone,your insulting her basically.She's the one who created the show.When you're insulting the show, you're insulting what she her work.I don't think she needs that.I'm just going to agree with what she wants to happen to Inuyasha no matter what Inuyasha decides.

Here are a few theories on how it might end. The group will finally have defeated Naraku and collected the rest of the shards thus forming the Shikon no Tama.

Kikyou could be brought back to life by the use of Tenseiga, or when the jewel is completed she could be wished back to life and the jewel could finally disappear (thought it would be kind of an ironic but fitting ending since it was her duty to protect it)

In the end, I think Inuyasha will either become human if Kikyou survives the final battle or stay as a hanyou if somehow Kikyou dies and he uses the jewel to bring her back to life, thus giving her a human body.

Kagome will return to her time having a better understanding of history, (remember in the beginning she didn't care what her grandpa was saying about the history of objects)

The whole reincarnation thing is misleading, and I think it will all be explained in the end. My opinion on that is that, Kagome might be a future descendant of Kikyou and Inuyasha. I mean she has her smell right and kind of resembles her. Maybe Kagome is their great great, great, great, great granddaughter or other relation

I just discovered something more about inuyasha's life and how it relates to Kikyo... Inuyasha's mother was also a priestess, which was a very pure, caring and loving, beautiful maiden, and that her mother makes very good herbal medicines (Episode 89) and her mother fall in love with his father (which was a demon). Inuyasha loves his mother even though he doesn't admit it but there was one episode when Inuyasha remembered more about his past and he said that her mother was always there for him. Inuyasha's mother is like exactly the same as Kikyo. Well that's just more info. about inuyasha's past life, and i really think that inuyasha and kikyo should be together, since they were meant for each other in the beginning. Kikyo is meant for Inuyasha and Inuyasha is meant for Kikyo... Kagome was just there to straighten things out since without her, both would still hate each other and still be deceived, and since Kagome straightened things out (breaking inuyasha's seal and Reviving Kikyo by the use of her soul) after they defeat Naraku...Kagome would probably just go back to her own time (she knows that she doesn't belong to that world or in that era) Kagome would have a better understanding of the History and Kikyo would be revived reuniting with Inuyasha. Kikyo and Inuyasha for eternity!!!

I have to disagree with u Mary, it seems you don't know their whole life story or how the story goes on about kikyo and inuyasha's relationship... for if u have known that Kikyo wanted to kill inuyasha and inuyasha also wanted to kill kikyo because they were both deceived into betraying each other. As the story goes Inuyasha still loved Kikyo and same goes to kikyo cause' they wanted to be together in the past and that this desire in both of them still goes on until they have their revenge on Naraku. And besides there's and episode about 100+ where Kikyo dies again (*but was saved*) and inuyasha was heartbroken that he didn't come to protect and save kagome...i think the title of this episode is "The darkness in Kagome's heart"...so i really think that Kikyo and Inuyasha will be together in the end, and besides Kagome doesn't belong in their world and that she didn't even cared about history in the beginning, she should just go back to her own normal life.
