There are 2 possibilites. 1, being the file you downloaded is bogus. There are lots of Bogus Movies and Songs on the internet. The second possibility is you have a codec problem. there are tons of codec problem threads in this board. Do a little detective work and find some posts by people with the same problem, it should help you find which codec you need, because if its an avi file, Windows Media Player and DivX should play it, they just need the right decoders. Realplayer wont help at all though, RP sucks, it only plays real media files.

I should have mentioned that you could right click on the file and find its properties, it should tell you what video and audio compression it uses, that would help you find the codecs you need.

Usually its missing a decoder. You just need to download the mp1,2, and 4 for windows media player. Use google search and type it in parenthesis. Thats how I fixed mine.
