I love Metal Gear Solid!!! Their gonna make a live-action DragonBall Z movie....so hell! Why can't they make a Metal Gear Solid movie? I think that with all the crappy game based movies thats come out, that a Metal Gear Solid movie would kick ass! What do you think?

mgs2 is already like a movie anyway. there are so many cut-scenes in it (though substance is cooler). but yeah, if they made a movie i think it would kick ass, just it would be hard for them to do cos people wouldnt believe the storyline much - i think it would work better as an anime movie rather than a live action movie.

Yeah, a MGS movie would rule. I've heard it's in talking stages for now, and I'm sure Kojima will have a major part in it. Truthfully, David Hayter should be Solid Snake in the movie. He did an awsome job with the voice, and looks a lot like what solid snake would if he were real. But yeah, if he doesn't do it the best bet is Hugh Jackman.

I am one of the biggest mgs fans ever! and yes the movie must be made but jerry bruckhimer and hideo koyima have to make the movie together and the music made by hanz zimmer and harry garison.

This will be the biggest movie ever! if i had the funding i would make this movie. i would call hideo him self and propose de offer. jackman was my first pick for the role !! he is the man for the job.

Guy's imagine that scene when Snake faces metal gear in shadow moses in real life action with all the music in the background !! IT GIVES ME CHILS !

the movie would definately kick ass. As for the cast, Kurt Russell is THE Solid Snake, anyone remember Escape From L.A. He is Snake Plissken, in MGS2 he used that name Iroquoi Plissken in the game. And Iroquoi means "Snake" therefore saying his name is Snake Plissken, all the more reason Kurt should be snake. Anyways, he and Snake are ex-Special Forces, Kurt has that Solid Snake attitude.

If a Metal Gear movie was ever made, then there would have to be a few conditions met before I'd even consider going to see it. 1. Hideo Kojima would have to be either director or producer. 2. Unknown actors would have to be used (otherwise it would be a "Russell Crowe" movie rather than a Metal Gear movie.) 3. It would have to be based on a script or screenplay by Kojima. I believe if these conditions are met, then we would have an Oscar winner!

The only way they could ever make a movie worthy of holding the metal gear name would have to be anime. Because making a real live movie with same beautiful scenery would cost a few million more than what the producers would be willing to muster up. And I do not know of any actor good enough to be snake. So just use the real animated snake and David Hayter's talented voice. And you've got a movie that can't be beat if Hideo Kojiama has full control. METAL GEAR FORVER!

The Prophesy Must be fulfilled!!!!!!!! LOL. Hell yeah there must be a Metal Gear Solid Movie!!! Hugh Jackman would be a great Solid Snake. He did pretty good job as Wolvererine in X-Men. However Kurt Russel holds that title too. He did an excellent job in Soldier and Escape from New York & L.A. Its going to be a tough call. However they must make the movie very worthwhile. If it's anything less, it would be an insult to gamers worldwide. Maybe if they brought somebody fresh into the scene to play snake? Or howabout just bringing in the "Original" Solid Snake, like a computer animated Solid Snake from the game like how they made Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within? That would be a keeper!!

Hugh Jackman is overrated his role as wolverine is okay but as mentioned before by other people Kurt Russell is the man. MGS2 LT "Snake" Pliskin and the original Snake Pliskin from the Escape from NY and LA are the same characters. And not to mention the matching eye patch that Russell and Big Boss share.

I agree that Hugh Jackman would be a great Solid Snake, because he has that gruff look to him. I think Kris Kristofferson (Whistler in Blade) would be a great Revolver Ocelot, MArilyn MAnson could play an awesome Psycho Mantis becoause,well, he's a freak anyway, and he's pretty thin too. I've always pictured Nicole Kidman as a great Naomi Hunter. To play Otacon There'd have to pick a somewhat dorky lookin' guy, Jeff Goldblum is'nt dorky enough. But as long as they've got a good CG company to do the other stuff like Metal Gear Rex then it'll be perfect.

If there ever was a Metal Gear Movie in the works, David Hayter should play Solid Snake. He is an actor himself playing Guyver: The Dark Hero years ago and I love that movie too. 2ndly, he himself is Solid Snake because it was his voice that made Solid Snake right from the beginning. He also was the screen play for Xmen 2. Why wouldn't he be the ultimate Solid Snake??? If this doesn't happen, then I would have Hugh Jackman to play Soild Snake. Metal Gear Solid Rules. If they were to make a MGS movie, they have to have a few things, such as David Hayter playing Solid Snake as well as all of the other voice actors who cooincide with the game. And the main thing they will need, is Hideo Kojima to write a fuckin kick ass story that didnt get too monumental as Sons of Liberty did. OK, I reckon that the MGS movie should have the Digital Characters in it, kinda the style of FF the movie, or The Animatrix start part. But David Hayter would HAVE! to do the voice, he puts all the character into snake, with out him, I would think it a bit shit... I have just finished watching the trailer for "Metal Gear Solid - The Twin Snakes" for the PS2 and it totally blew me away! They have totally revamped the first MG and by GOD it looks superb! On the topic of the movie, all I can say is...HURRY UP! The cast lists I have come up with are already written down on this message board, so why not just get them on the dog and bone Hideo Kojima? Aparently though, once they've completed work on a "Silent Hill" movie they will start scripting and designing for a MG movie. Yay!

Let David Hayter be Solid Snake and Jack Hughman be Liquid Snake since they look alike. To Hideo kojima: Do the directing of the movie or else you will end up weeping on the street seeing your long time game record breaking title be fucked up like Mortal Kombat resident evil etc. You are the man, be the man. Yes, there is already a MGS movie underway. I have already seen actual previews for the movie here in Australia. This was actually last year though so I'm not too sure what is going on with it. Kurt Russell does play the role of Snake I already know. You see him in the scene before the Snake-Raven Tank fight.
