In a straight-up swords fight, without any ki blast or whatever, would Hiei be able to defeat Kenshin? What do u think?

Well, they're both amazingly fast, but Kenshin has his Ryu Tsui Sen, and other attacks with the Hiten Mitsurugi Ryu.

If Hiei could use his Dragon of the Darkness Flame, Fist of the Mortal Flame, or his Sword of the Darkness Flame he could beat Kenshin in no time. Since you said Hiei could'nt use his energy attacks then Kenshin would barely win.

while they are at breakneck speed, kenshin would win. hiei has no technic behind his sword and without using any ki would give kenshin a better chance. but hiei would get pissed and blast kenshin after the fight.

Hiei is a full demon, a very strong demon. So he is much stonger than Kenshin. Hiei would be able to withstand the attacks of Kenshin. If Kenshin turned into battousi he wouldn't be able to perform the amakakeru ryu no hiromeki. So reverting to battousi wouldn't work, at all. Kenshin needs this technique to defeat Aoshi and Soujiro, whose power's are nearly unmatched, even by Kenshin. Kenshin's amakakeru ryuu no hirameki didn't really work on Shishio since he got up right after the attack. If Shishio didn't combust, he could have kept fighting. If Shishio, being only human, can withstand the the amekakeru, then Hiei could too. Another thing the Hiten Mitsurugi Ryu was not meant to be used by scrawny people like Kenshin, which he is, and there is no denying it. The longer a fight goes on the bigger the toll on Kenshin's body. He begins to lose compusure and breath. Kenshin cannot keep up the god-like speed he has for an extended period of time because he gets winded. Hiko never seems to lose composure or breath when he uses Hiten Mitsurugi Ryu. Hiei on the other hand seems to be able to move at incredible speeds without getting tired at all.

Kenshin would lose to Hiei. Hiei can keep up his speed up way longer than Kenshin can and the great succession technique would not work against Hiei. Oh and really, how can a mere human defeat a class A demon?

Hittokiri Battousai is not the strongest form of Kenshin. If Hittokiri Battousi fought Aoshi the second time he would lose. The only reason he won against Aoshi was because of the Amekakeru Ruy No Hiromeki. The same goes for the battle with Soujiro. Oh, and the Amekakeru didn't seem to work on Shishio because he got up soon after Kenshin used it on him. In his battousai state, Kenshin could not perform the Amekakeru. Hiko told Kenshin, that he would die if he tried to perform it while being battousai. So as battousi Kenshin would easily lose to Hiei and as Kenshin Himura he would also lose to Hiei since the Amekakeru would not work on Hiei.

all the people that replied in this question is a fool. How in the freakin' hell would you compare kenshin to hiei? Rurouni Kenshin is uses human character while Yuyu Hakusho uses demons and class fighter. Okay, if no ki or power blast is to use, I think Hiei will still win. Kenshin has the speed of a human while Hiei has the speed of a superhero like Quicksilver and Flash. Kenshin isn't that fast at all....remember that Soujiro is faster than Kenshin when he uses Sukuchi. Kenshin might have the moves and techniques but still no match for the speed of Hiei. They are 2 different type of character so it is wrong to compare them. ---

I don't see why some of you guys(or girls) have to call them gay, thier is nothing gay about either of them, Kenshin was strong enough to change his ways and so was Hiei, but in a fight...Hiei, I think Hiei would win, Kenshin is indeed powerful but Hiei has his Jagan, the Jagan itself does not use spiritual energy or demon energy, so therefor it's alright to use it, Kenshin does have the Amakakeru Ryu no Hiromeki, but Hiei is a demon, and fire apparition, the ability over fire does not incluse the usage of demon or spirt energy, what is used is pyroetics, or the ability over fire in lamest terms, so in conclusion, Kenshin is a great swordsman, but is still human, Hiei on the other hand is an S-Class(at the end of the Dark Tournament) full bred demon, so I hope you can see who would win...
