I watched Ranma 1/12 dub version! AND I CRIED FROM ITS SUCKINESS < im serious too! i really cried! and my ears really started to hurt! I AM FOREVER TRAMUTIZED! *breaths heavily* im crying right now cause people actually listen to it and like it... if all dub versions are like that then i have one thing to say : BAN DUBBED ANIME, IT IS CRUEL AND UNUSUAL PUNISHMENT!!!! if there was a hell, my hell would be watching dub version of ranma over and over. i will never get used to that.. oh yeah this isnt really a question, its a plea.

dude, i dont think ranma dub is that bad. they all have a very good voice-actor/actress. I mean, when they speak, it sounds so natural especially ranma and akane. the only bad one is shampoo i guess. I only watch ranma dub and some of those shits on cartoon network. other than that, I am a pure anime subs.

I hate dub well not hate it just that they are so untalented but some are okay like rurouni kenshin in dubbed but fushigi yuugi, and fruits basket in dubbed is too weird so I`d say i prefer subbed

most dubs suck because they can't find a person who speaks english who speaks like the characters in the japanese version.. usually the male chars are too high and the female chars are schreeching

I have to disagree with you cool, When i watched the dub version of ranma the voice actors i hated the most were akanes and ranmas. But i've heard some good dubs, like cowboy bebop, golden boy, and there are some others that i dont mind. but i do think that some are dubbed so bad that they shouldnt even try to make it work.

Dubbed or subtitiled doesnt matter to me but theonly reason people preferr subtitled and hate dubbed is because they have heard to much of the subtitled version(or versions) and hearing dubbed doesnt sound right to them after that. If people never saw the subtitled versions then they probably wouldnt hate the dubbed.

yay! I'm not the only one *feels releaved* my god, I was downloading ranma episodes off kazaa, I'm only at about half way through season 3, and a few of them in there had been in *gasp* ...in.. *choke* ... english *dies* it was SO bad, and they didn't pronounce the names right, it drove me nuts, ranma had such a flat voice, they all did.. my god, and the OVAs, I can't find them in japenese, I've had to see 4 of them so far in english ..... ugggg, though what you said, Jerome-kun, is true, kinda.. I saw all of Sailor Mon except the last season, in english, I didn't mind *most* of their voices Usagis got really annoying later on, and when you find out what cuts and changes were made.. ugg, thank god i saw the last, and best, season of Sailor Moon in japense subs!

I think that the subbed version of Ranma is terrible and the dubbed version is better, some of the voices just sound wrong. Akane is too girly and tendo is too manly for it to really suit their characters...i suppose it depends on which you watched first.
