.Hack and Lain aren't even near the word "Sad" if you compare them with Saikano.Saikano is one of the best anime and the best drama anime I have ever seen.Other drama anime:Kare Kano ,Gravitation ,Scrapped Princess etc. etc.

i'd say Saikano was a pretty good anime with great drama(so sad)TT, and i also enjoyed watching fushigi yuugi, especially the OVA, it was packed with drama. GTO,Trigun,and Fruits Basket also had sum good drama in them.

Saikano's extremely sad...but it's sad all throughout the show. Fruits Basket actually makes me cry much more because it's sad parts are so incredibly depressing compared to the other parts.

GRAVE OF THE FIREFLIES is really sad, made me cry. one of the best movies i have seen, actually the bestr anime movie!
