I like fooly cooly because it's different and it's awsome. It's good quality animation. It's funny and also profound. The story is very confusing, but as it progresses it becomes quite clear. Since you don't know whats going on until the very end, your hooked until the end. Even when you know you got it all you just watch it again just to make sure. The manga style animation is crazy. The j-pop soundtrack is the best ever and the EVA, Gundam, and computer game references are amusing. Its hella better than Excel, because it doesn't get on my nerves.

FLCL has an awesome soundtrack too. Like last night's episode, the music that they were playing while the huge baseball was careening towards the Earth.. aww man.. I had the stereo on full, watching the whole thing 2 inches away from my big screen TV. It was awesome!!! Of course I taped it, and watch it over and over. That's one thing I love about FLCL, you never get tired of watching the same episode over and over again! They're really *that* awesome!

The actual name of the series is "Fooly Cooly", but when you write it in the Japanese script, Kanji, it comes out to be "Furi Kuri" which can means a bunch of things.

Also, if you pay close attention near the end of Episode 6 you can see a magazine featuring Mamimi's photo of Naota holding Haruko's/Rahal's bass, underneath which it says in English, "Fooly Cooly."

Furi Kuri is the Japanese style of spelling it. But they pronounce it as "Fooly Cooly", since there's no sound in the Japanese language that resembles an 'R' in English, so they pick the next best thing; The 'L' sound.

I love Fooly Cooly! It's in my top five favorite anime! I've only seen a little bit of it, but what I have seen is awesome! And the music is great! The plot and art is so original! I love it! ^_^

And, uhh, guys, yes, it is Furi Kuri. Furi Kuri is the Japanese version of it, because, in Japan, they don't use the letter L. Instead, they just role their Rs. And, they don't spell it Foori Koori, because then it would be pronounced FOH-OH-REE KOH-OH-REE. And, in Japan, they are beginning to adapt to the English language, so, in Kanji, it's Furi Kuri.

So, Furi Kuri, Fooly Cooly, FLCL, they're all the same anime. ^_^

The name of the anime is FuriKuri (no space) but then when it was sent, they spaced it to Furi Kuri, then an American heard the name and wrote Fooly Kooly, which once again proves that Americans don't take the time to figure out how to spell things before they write them.

I might be the only girl to reply but... I think cooly fool is ok. Its not totally cool, but ok. I think some images could have been left out, like the whole sexual content. But hey thats just me.I love its soundtrack and its ending credit song...( hey isnt it by the band called the pillows?) But anyways I think the plot was strange but thats what its all about and that was sort of cool. (^o^")
