Okay so I've watched Blue Gender on adult swim and it's not too bad...other than that guy, Yuji, (I think that is how his name is spelled) who is crys and yells and get scared a lot. So does he ever change or does he stay the same cry-baby who thinks "Look I'm going to change the world and cry a little". Because if that is the case, that sucks because this show has some potential to it.

Blue Gender is okay...I agree with all who said Yuji is a crybaby, because he is. It's just that he's not adapted to the newness of the world...all the Blue and ruin of society...I would be a big crybaby if I were in the same position. Marlene is really cold...psh. I don't like her hair, either...

Ice dragon how dumb are you? Imagine one day having to go to sleep because of a disease you have being woke up like 28 years later, your whole past is DEAD, friends family, all of it! The world is in ruins, giant fucking bugs run the earth, seing balls of eating/digested people in the street, and the biggest thing, bugs you have never seen, heard, or ever thought about come to eat you for no reason. Each building you see is infested and ruined, covered in crap (probably people dead or digested). So you wake up and u see all this and you wouldnt be scared or cry? HOW DUMB ARE YOU PEOPLE. YOU GO TO SLEEP ONE DAY, WAKE UP FEELS LIKE A DAY LATER YET THE PLANET IS IN RUINS RUN BY GIANT BUGS WHICH MOUTHS LOOK LIKE VAGINAS WITH TEETH!

P.S. All you people who think Marlene is cold, well she is but the story will uncover the reason why I'm guessing, she is a big part in the series. The whole ending credits is about her, this whole bug- planet-takeover has turned her cold for some reason that we will find out, thats my guess.

Wow! If I didn't know any better I think that bigfuckingfools was P.M.S.ing! Anyways, all I was asking was WILL Yuji change and finally accept that the world he is living in is all crap or will he still be all cry and wish that the world was like how is was before we went to sleep. And yes, Marlene is important to this series and later it will explain why she is so "cold" but there is a really good reason for it so you have to wait and watch to find out. I really like the show. The character development is very good and I mean think of it this way. Yuji wakes up in the middle of a blue attack and is confused, wouldn't you be a little scared. he does start to grow up a little, but he demonstrates real emotion and actions. yeah and i hate marlene, she's a bitch. espeically to joey who shouldn't have died. and did he sleep with marlene? i'm so confuseded!!! o, well, i'm done talking now!!!!

I think that Yuji's story is a takeoff of Futurama but the setting and plot is different. Yuji acts like a little child getting used to the real world. He crys at everything that goes wrong. I wonder why Joey had to die. I really liked him. He had a lot of potential. He could of been Yuji's guide through second Earth. I don't understand why they killed him!

I've been watching the show Blue Gender on Adult Swim. I think it is a great show but you guys keep saying that Yuji is a cry baby. Well if you ask me you guys are the cry babys. You keep wining about him. yuji is not so much of a cry baby as he is just an immense f*ing pussy.

Ok ok, it's all well and good that he's in a radically different world and it's all not fair and shit. but seriously, how many god damned episodes are they going to drag this angle out for? i too have been watching it on adult swim and i think 11 episodes is more than enough time spent establishing that yuji is such a whiny, wussy, annoying f*cktard.

i keep watching, and waiting for the time when he just sucks it up and starts kicking some serious butt. i fear however that this may never happen and that yuji will continue to stand there, frozen, save for his jiggling eyeballs and quivering jaw, while everyone else has to die trying to save his pussy ass.

there has not been a single episode yet that wouldn't have been better served if one of the military personel didn't just up and repeatedly pistol whip yuji into unconsciousness and firemen's carry or drag his limp body to safety.

i'll keep watching, and hoping that soon, very soon, yuji has the breakthrough and realizes once and for all that no, this isn't his world. and no, it's not fair. and that all his screaming and yelling won't do a damn thing but attract more blue attention, and get more people killed. and that all he can do is hop in a mech and start poppin' cores with a smile on his face. and maybe, just maybe help the human race reclaim the planet earth.

otherwise, i'll have to go with the "this show sucks" rating that each episode has thus far reinforced for me.
