I don't know, but the series is awesome. I have episodes 1-6 of the OAV/OVA series...is that the same thing they are showing on Cartoon Network? Or is there like a 13-26 episode TV series that I don't know about?

i think it's a japanese thing....FLCL....Kikaider.....That old PS2 game that i'm not even sure made it to america....i dunno.....they probably said the same thing about the wallet chain thing that americans do......i guess it's just sumthin' for looks.....the real question is why does she keep smackin' everything up side the head with it??

FLCL is just a 6 part OVA. She uses the guitar because thats her weapon of choice. Just like in the end where the kid uses a guitar to hit that big thing comin at him.

umm...did anyone else pick this up. I think the cat(the one that you see his balls frequently) is an alien. I say this because of episode 2. Himori(can't remember name. Girl with guitar. Starts with H) is talking to the cat as she disses tv boy. Shes acting like she is talking to someone. Also, the cat starts to beat on her. There was another thing but I forgot it :P

In the Japanese version the show is the standard 24 minutes...Cartoon Network probably cut down the episodes.

The guitar is just a wepon. i think this show is very hilarious i missed the first 2 episodes on cartoon network but ive been watching since then its very addictive.i love it and ever since my first time wathcing ive looked deeper into this show.

Well...the one thing no one considered about the guitars....have you ever been hit with a guitar..it hurts like hell...i mean..its nothing more than a club modified to make some pretty sounds...so why is it so odd that they use a guitar as a weapon...also if your guitar has a built in gun why would you need anything else?

yeah, guitar is just Haruko's weapon of choice, usually becomes a weapon when she yanks the trigger. it dosen't make much sense but that's the point. plus, miyu miyu is not an alien, the reason she talks to it because it acts as a channeling device to talk to her commanders in outer space. get the dvds and listen to the commentary, you'll understand more.
