I don't know why this is anime related. RIAA only goes after big mp3 uploaders.
-- Anonymous, August 21, 2003
i don't see how this is not related to anime. what do you call those anime soundtracks?
-- Anonymous, August 21, 2003
besides that, what do you think will be targeted next if mp3 sharing is stopped... possibly... videos/movies? there is a movie industry, and im assuming if the music industry can stop file sharing the movie industry will take a stab at it as well...

Question! who do they know where u are who u are to sue u? and it your name is "www.k-lite.tk_Kazaa_Lite@Kazaa" then how do u know witch is u cause there's more then one user that's name that.
-- Anonymous, August 21, 2003
It is a scare tatic. They are putting peoples names who are most common. Then, people who have similar names will get scraed, and delete their music/accounts.

RIAA is trying to pressure internet service providers into giving info of subscribers by tracking the IP addresses of kazaa users. so there is a way to track down the users.
-- Anonymous, August 21, 2003
Why is Kazaa now ilegal anyway?
-- Anonymous, August 21, 2003
I thought anime ost are considered properties of the Japanese music industry. Oh well, i don't know much on how it really works.
-- Anonymous, August 21, 2003
dude, welcome to 1.5 fucking months ago
-- Anonymous, August 21, 2003
The RIAA stands for the Recording Industry Association of America. Meaning they only give a damn if you have tons of music files. And how was I flaming? I told you that you were late on the facts, and you automatically assume I'm trying to offend you?
...Right.
-- Anonymous, August 21, 2003
it may be true that RIAA will only target music released from US but they may pressure music industries from other countries to do the same thing. Not a good thing if your country happens to be an "ally of US" (like my country).
-- Anonymous, August 21, 2003
Hey, some guy, the pressure has already been put on the movie industry. Recently they have been showing commercials telling viewers the problem and not to trade or download movies. And they end by saying 'stop piracy'.
-- Anonymous, August 21, 2003
Well, since the enforcement on videos only goes to American movies and possibly TV eps that are out on dvd, I guess I still have nothing to worry about sharing anime. :)
