In 1918 or 1919, Josephine C. NUNES, then about 14 or 15 years old was awarded a SHRIVES gold pendant watch by Mayor ROLPH for winning some type of contest...perhaps a writing award. She also christened a ship as part of the award. I have the watch and the wired encased bottle used for the christening still with Red, white & blue pennants. I would like to know where to start to look for information regarding the specifics of the award and the name & type of ship including the location of the launching. Thank you for your assistance.
