So did Sora become that huge metal looking guy or was he absorbed by it? Will Sora's plight be resolved in a different .Hack series or in the video games? And wtf happened in the end? Did Helba get rid of Net Slum and cart all of them to safety?

hmm...good questions.I am pretty sure Sora was hospitalized for a long time. I don't think they ever mention Sora ever again in the different series or the game. Just watch the ending again or download it to understand. It reminds me of watching the Evangelion movies. You need to watch it more than once to understand. Not sure about the helba one

Well, I was reading an episode guide just now and it says Sora got data-drained. Isn't that what happens when a player gets 'killed'? So if it was just a data-drain, how come he got knocked cold? And is he in a coma?

"Return" was the last episode of .hack//sign, number 26. But then i've heard of a episode 27 being released on video and even a 28. I don't know if thats true though.

It made more sence when i rewatched the episode, and i feel sorry for sora too.

There is an episode 27 and 28 that weren't released on T.V. to prevent bootleggers from selling 'complete' sets of .Hack. 27 is an ep with Mimiru and Bear where Mimiru recounts some advernture or another and 28 is a compilation ep of all characters from the shows and games.

Sora as sead above is data drained he is put cross and in the 3 valume of the game you can free hime and at the end of the 4th game he can be a party member along with tsukasa subaru and helba(I think)
