I am thinking of buying the Fushigi Yuugi dvd boxed set on ebay. I watched like 2 episodes a while back and can't remember what it was about. Can someone tell me if that that anime is good or not. Is it something a guy would enjoy. I've watched shows like Love Hina, Chobits, and Fruit's Basket, so I don't really mind if its made for female audiences.

Fushigi Yuugi gets real old, real fast. That's the same complaint I had about Love Hina, so if you enjoyed that one then FY might be to your liking. Come to think of it, I hate Chobits as well, I really shouldn't be advising you on this.

if you like romantic comedies, then you should like FY, tho i think it's a bit long and some episodes are boring. it's definitely not as funny as some of the rest but still quite good. But really, if you're thinking of spending your money on something, you should get something much recent and better. you can just dl FY off kazaalite.

I watched up to ep 8 before I have to throw up. I don't mind some romance but for me to digest a show that involves only romance is hard. I heard that it gets better later on so I'm reconsidering if I should watch it again.

I've seen 22 episdoes of it, I enjoyed it at first, but then it became a soap opera with not much of a plot... pretty boring... though I'll stil watch all the episodes, at some point, but if I were you, I would download them, and if you really like the series, and think you would enjoy watching it again/owning it THEN buy it off ebay
