I would like to know if there is a way of detecting incomplet other improper weldings relatively fast. I know that normally undestructive tests are made (ultrasonics, dye penetrant...) for these porpouse, but they are test that need human work. I want to know if there is any way of making it undependable for human visual inspection and make it automatically.

External monitoring can give you indications of weld quality. Also, resistance welders that have continuous closed look feedback can produce very consistent results. Work with your weld controls vendor for proper equipment. Kurt Tolliver www.unitekmiyachi.com
