Does anyone know what the power differance is between the open exhaust muffler with the chip and the full exhaust kit ie. open muffler, header and chip? I am getting ready to get a new exhaust and don't want to spend the additional $1100.00 for the header if the gains are minmal. Thanks for the advise.

The MV Agusta Special Parts header is a work of art. Unlike the stock 4-2-2 setup, it is configured in a 4-2-1-2 with balance tubes between the headers.

With the combination of the headers, FBF Sil Moto exhausts, and a power commander, I saw a 13HP increase on my bike. My 2001 now puts out 127HP at the rear wheel with a peak 58 ft-lbs of torque. Not shabby.
