What has your dealer told you about the F4 Mille, Mamba, Tamburini?

I spoked to my dealer today and he say he has not received any offical word from MV. Although, he did see a few of them in the Milan show last week.

He felt that the Milles would probably not his the U.S. shores until around August-September 2004. That's just based on past shipment dates.

As a matter of fact, he was still waiting for the SPR and Brutale's to be delivered to his shop and thinks he'd be getting them any day now. He did mention he received a few red/silver 2003 a few weeks ago but no silvers 2003s.

Has anyone else heard anything from their dealers?

MV Agusta didn?t wait long before launching a special edition of its brand new 1000cc F4 superbike, now there?s an F4 1000 Tamburini costing £29,000.

The 300-bike limited edition is far more than just a special with a bit of new bodywork, MV has raised the peak power, reduced the weight and added a new fuel injection system - the most advanced system to be used on a bike so far. It takes its inspiration from Formula One cars, using variable inlet tracks on each cylinder to increase power throughout the rev range, helping it to its top speed of 190mph.

The bike also gets lightweight Marchesini wheels, handmade carbon-fibre body panels, magnesium alloy swingarm and pivot, a Sachs rear shock, Showa forks and six-pot Nissin brakes.

My dealer (in Belgium) told me that the production will start end first quarter of next year. Orders can be entered now. The difference in power output for the Tamburini will be +8 (174 instead of 166). The price difference between the 750 and 1000 will be around 4000 Euros. The price for the Tamburini he told me would be 50 000 Euros !! Negative point on the MV compared to Japanese competition : weight

It's 40,000 Euro for the Tamburini, I saw it myself in Milan and the sales director for MV Agusta told me the price.

Italy will be getting the U.S. spec bikes in December, just what I've heard from the dealers here. Taking orders November 1st.

I have also heard that production 1000cc parts have arrived at the factory in the last few days. December seems to be the consensus for the continent.

Ever try a MV and a Japanese... Riding you won't realize that MV is about 30 kgs more than a Yamaha...and when you'll turn braking, wow... what a stability... So, don't care the weight...ride it!

P.S. I own an Aprilia RS250, 2 F4 750, the Senna, and already ordered the new Tamburini, and waiting for a Ducati 999 next week (even better in handling than a F4, and weights even more than MV but not so stable when in braking)
