Animesuki's only good if you can use BitTorrent. A lot of people can't and/or don't have a fast enough internet connection to download the files.

Buying VCDs are a lot more convenient, faster and accessible for people. Just open the package and pop the disk in your DVD player or computer. :)

It's no fun getting anime if it is easy to find it and fast to get it. If I can d/l any 300 ep series within 2 days I don't find the hunt as thrilling.
