How well does the Power commander III work and would anyone recommend it for the MV?

Yes, I bought power commander III in Germany for MV a month ago. I had some problems with backfiring and some lacks (and "holes") at low revs. I use RG3 pipes with stock manifold and Orininal MV Eprom for this combination. After re-mapping on a dyno THE LOW REV BEHAVIOR (acceleration is smoother) IS MUCH BETTER!

But, donīt have too many expectations in power rising!

And up 10 to 15% more fuel consumption!

regards

Bernd

I had rough running at low revs with my silmoto pipes fitted to a 2000 mv. I had bike fuel injection set up correctly first then pc 3 fitted , custom map created for silmotos and standard pipes , 118 bhp with silmotos , about 3-4 bhp lower with standard pipes. Have not tried standard pipes since but there is no rough running at low revs now with silmotos.

I have fitted the Power Commander in my standard '01 F4 S1+1, and I think that it is a very good thing.

I have dinoed the bike, and there is difference with the maps; I have a map that cames from FBF, and we have modified it a little bit. Apart from the power increase, there is a hole about 5.000 rpm that is being softened. Next time at the track I will try to get smoother response with first throttle openings.

I think it will be good to share experiences and maps together. Do you think so?

With Power Commander, SilMotos, and the special parts header, my MV Agusta is putting down 127HP and 57.9ft-lbs of torque at the rear wheel. You can check it out at:

I couldn't be happier with the setup. FBF set it up and dialed it all in. It's a changed motorcycle as a result. What the dyno chart fails to convey is the greatly improved throttle response.
