Definition of revelation

No question here. Revelation is not a book, nor it is a tradition. It is the Holy Ghost relaying to man Our Father in Heavens' Will. The bible is a record of His revelations and the History of first the Hebrew race together and then the Jewish race after the Northern and Southern Kingdom were dispersed. From adam through John every event written down was supposed to be preserved. To say that Revelation is the Holy Ghost keeping the old record pure is false. The Catholic Church was not around until after revelation was taken away as Paul warned. Peter was not the first Pope. That is not in the Bible, and to say that Jesus' appointing the leader of the church is playing with a truth and adding a falehood. Revelation continues today. Each individual who will truly humble himself and ask for guidance receives revelation. James 1:5. Only a Prophet can create "scripture" for the entire church. The catholic church neither has current prophets nor the authority to create written definitions of God's nature. The nicean Creed was not in the Bible before the creed. Therefore it is false, since The catholic church denies any revelation after theNew Testament. By what authority did the Catholic Church add the creeds. Any by what authority did the Catholic church enforce its will by death, torture, and blood? I say again Revelation available in the following way to anyone. Repentance, Baptism, Receiving the Holy Ghost, then by carefully walking the straight and narrow path. We can receive guidance from the Scriptures, and From God. Those two are the authorities. No one man, except he be called as was Aaron, by revelation through a Prophet of God can claim this authority nor claim that revelation has ceased. If any man says that God is a changeable being in his dealings with his children that man neither know God, Christ, nor the Holy Ghost. Revelation continues today through Prophets of God, and by faith and repentance each one of us can know that what they tell us is the truth. Each of us can study the scriptures and receive revelation

I know a Baptist, a Methodist, a Christian Scientist, a Lutheran, and a Pentecostal. Each of them studies the scriptures. Each of them has been baptized. Each of them carefully walks the straight and narrow path. Each of them humbles himself and asks for guidance. And each of them has beliefs which conflict with the beliefs of all the others. So much for private revelation! Truth cannot conflict with truth. God does not contradict Himself. Therefore, doing all of the above has obviously led each of them to untruth. Jesus said that the truth would set us free. Therefore each of them is in bondage to a greater or lesser degree, depending on how far from genuine truth their personal revelations have led them. Jesus guaranteed that the Holy Spirit would guide His Church to all truth. The Holy Spirit has done so. Jesus said that other unauthorized and unauthoritative churches would arise, appointing teachers who would preach what they wanted to hear. It has happened. Attempting to discern the truth for yourself from a book of Catholic writings without the guidance, wisdom, and divine authority of the Church to which the writings were entrusted, is a sure road to heresy.

As for the Creed, just which part do you find fault with? ... That there is one God? That He is almighty? That He created all things? That there is one Lord, Jesus Christ? That He is the only Son of God? That He is begotten of the Father? That He is one in being with the Father? That He came down from heaven? That our salvation is through Him? That He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit? That He was born of the virgin Mary? That He was crucified under Pontius Pilate? That He suffered, died, and was buried? That He rose again on the third day? That He ascended into heaven? That He is seated at the right hand of the Father? That He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead? That His kingdom will have no end? That the Holy Spirit is the giver of life? That the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are to be worshipped? That God has spoken through the prophets? That Baptism is for the forgiveness of sins? That the dead in Christ will rise again?

Have you spotted any heresies yet? This is pretty basic Christian doctrine. Probably the only line of the Creed that you actually reject is ... "We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church". And because you lack the faith to accept that one statement, you forfeit the means God has provided to know and understand all the rest.

Another Catholic basher filled with spite, giving vent to his vitriol where Catholics gather. We know the devil hates the Catholic Church. Is it any wonder then, his disciples are filled with that same anger against Christ's Holy Church?

It would be unusual if out of charity a Frank Godfrey came in friendship; which we know is the sign of Christ's followers; LOVE; we love one another.

Frank loves the Bible alone! He can't feel love for his Christian brethren, because his ''biblical wisdom'' leads him to abandon the Church! Who brought him to this?

The one who seeks everywhere to separate Christ's followers: Satan.

It's interesting to note that Satan wanted Jesus Christ to worship him; and the way he attempted to gain this was by quoting to Jesus (!) from scripture! (Matthew, Chapter 4).
