Subs are the best because they can help you learn Japanese. After you learn a little Japanese you can understand some of the subtle differences between what is translated and what is acctually said. Honestly I can stand dubbs because most of the voices just don't seem to match really match well with their Japanese counter-part. Anyway, that's my opinion.

Subs are better then dubs because dubs' timming is never right and the traduction (most of the time) suck. I prefer to have the original show subbed then screwed by the dub

Depends on the result. Usually, the subtitled versions end up being better, but sometimes it dubbed versions are excellent, as well (Cowboy Bebop being a good example). When it comes to reaching the broadest audience possible in this country, though, dubbing wins out. How many casual viewers (including a lot of kids) would want to read subtitles in their daily cartoons?

I prefer the Subs, they are all good. In the dub it's often been censored and has shitty voice acting, in the subs it preserves the original stuff plus the voices are always better, and it does let you learn cool Japanese stuff like "Kuso" and "Baka-na!" I have both DBZ movie 12 and 13 on my computer, both are subbed and both kick ass! I also have movie 8 on DVD and even though it includes the dubbed version I still prefer to "read" the movie then listen to the crap voices. I only like a few of the voices in the dubbed version. I like Vegeta's voice but only after the Furieza saga because before it the dub voice was horrible. Most people think it sounds bad, but I think he sounds like he should. Other dub voices I like are the voices of Goten and Chibi Trunks, mostly because no matter how bad their voices are they still LOOK cute. And even though Chibi Trunks voice in the dub is a bit odd, he still sounds like a kid with that hint of...how should I say...Vegeta-ness to his voice. But all this is irrelevant because I prefer the original voices in all respects, and just because I can I'm going to watch Movie 13 and remind myself of what the voices are supposed to sound like. Oh, and in case you forgot I said about a paragraph ago that I prefer the sub. Peace:Yonk

finaly you people have place to relate to people who are crazy about japain and like to read when watching a program, you think funimation is bad? god you yanks are just...come to england and watch the really crap blue water dub or ocean. if you don't like the english language move to japain learn that. Funimation is the best dub i've seen and the voices are good, very true to the japines originals, but if you like to read subtiles and listion to goku sounding like a women with his jap voice go ahead!

Subs have better voice actor/actress(or maybe I just prefer hearing japanese over english) but dub is easier to understand because the translation doesn't come out right on subtitles, especially for kids who doesn't have the attention span to read subtitles when watching tv.
