Fushigi Yuugi Eikoden, from what I've heard is the new season or sequel... Fushigi Yuugi has 2 OVAs, I think. Movies? I'm not sure. It has 18 volumes. The first 10 covers the story, while the other 8 covers the OVA, I think. Hmm...I think I have the summary to at least one of the OVAs, if you want it, email me.

Fushigi Yuugi Eidoken is actually the third OVA, Corrie...The first OVA is only 3 episodes, but good anyway. The second OVA is called Memory of Stones or something like that, and there are 6 episodes. Then there is Fuushigi Yuugi Eidoken, which is the third OVA, and I have only seen the first episode, but I want the rest!!!!!!!! I don't know how many episodes there are, so sorry.
There is also another little 3 episode thing, but the epidoes only go for about 5 - 10 mins I think. That is the Bus Trip. It has nothing to do with the series really, because everyone is alive in it, plus they are on buses... and they don't have buses in the book.
I guess it is an OVA... but not really one, kinda... I don't know... I'm probably confusing you.... I'm confusing myself... anyway... yeah
Okay... hmm.... I can't tell you where to find summaries, because I don't know... There are no movies... only the little OVAs... and I don't know how many volumes in the manga there are... I saw the anime, of all of the series, and the OVAs.
Well... hoped I helped.

K, there are 3 OVAs here, the first one which is 1-3 and that one pretty much sets the base for the continuation with is the second OAV and there are 6 of those. The first 2 OVAs are pretty much have the same "we are from 2 worlds, can we be together?" feel to it. Finally the Eidoken which takes place much later is a 1-4 ep thing and that has a different plot. This website: http://www.animeinfo.org/featured/fy/fyanime3.html tells the brief on each episode and doesn't give away the ending. I hope that helps!! ^_^

Fushigi Yuugi has: 52 TV episodes then 3 OVA sets (+ set of 3 mini- xtras) 18 volumes of manga, two art books and a spin off set of novels (9) by someone else I heard about (but don't know anything about a) special, but that was supposedly a rehash thing About the first 10 volumes are the TV series. The 1st OVA set was created to fill in some gaps for the 2nd OVA set, but is not in the manga. The 2nd OVA set finishes the manga. The 3rd OVA set is roughly based off of the novels that someone else wrote (illustrated by the original author) that takes place a few years after the rest of the series. The mini-extras are a set that is very loosely inspired by a section of the manga not put into the TV series, but that was very humerous about an island inhabited by only women. I hope this helps. This is my favorite series of all time, though there are many second place series I love to watch. As a side note, Watase Yuu (Fushigi Yuugi author) also wrote Ayashi no Ceres. The manga is much better, in my opinion, than the anime though.
