when i use mirc and i download from this channel its says queue slot 5. then it saids i have to wait 3 hours. my question is when im still in queue can i disconnect and do something else and resume later. or will it clear it.

When you're queued, stay in the channel. It's okay to get d/ced as long as you reconnect when it is your turn to download the file.

Not always. Some fservs wipe out your queues if you're disconnected for longer than a few minutes. Others keep them until it's your turn to get your send. If you're not sure which is which, it's better to just stay in the channel, minimize irc and do other things with your time.

so i can disconnect and when its mine turn i just go to the same channel and the same person i queue from to download?

Sometimes, sometimes, not always. But you probably won't know it's your turn unless you do stay in the channel. You can guess, but sometimes the people ahead of you drop out, or their sends take longer than usual. Staying in the channel is the safest if you really really want something.

One thing to note: there's a difference between the fserv window and the channel itself. The fserv window is where you queue up the stuff and that you can safely close. The channel window, e.g. #mangareaders, #mangaproject, etc, is the one I'm talking about.

ok thx for answering my question. i use to just clear the queue because i thought that if you disconnect you lose your place and i didnt want to leave my computer the whole night.
