the file isn't "bittorrent" thats the name of the program - the file usually comes in those formats to begin with(avi mpeg , ogg etc)- if you can't view it then thats because of a codec problem

Files with .torrent in the end are data packages that contain information on whatever file is stored in a torrent like file size, what kind of format it is(avi, mpeg, xls, etc.), where the file is located at(think of http downloads), and any updated info on how many peers and seeds there are. After you d/l the torrent file, you open it after you install bittorrent, and you begin the download. The torrent is NOT the actual anime file.

yeah, everyone is right it's just the program name, but if what you are talking about is you finish the download and it has no extension or it won't open when you double-click it than just right-click > open with > windows media player or whatever you use. If it still won't work than try renaming with the extension it is supposed to have ex: (naruto-54 rename to) naruto-54.avi after that is it still won't work you need to do more things I don't want to get into right now. hope it helps. °Hiryu

Just make sure you finish the download. To make sure, go back to the website where you got it from and save the file at the same exact locationa and see if it is finished. It won't play if it is incomplete.
