By codes I'm guessing you mean commands. Heres What I know:When entering a channel, Look for a command on the chat screen that would say something like !rules. Type that and enter it. You will then be given a set of rules by which you must follow or else will result in banned. It will state if they allow commands such as @find, !list and such.
@find: type this when you want to search for a specific anime. ie. "@find rurouni kenshin" without the parenthesis of course. Then look for the trigger, which would look something like this: /ctcp zzZerozz tyZon Releases enter that and you will be asked to accept something. Do it. Sometimes it wont work because the person is either away or serving on a different port.
dir: after accepting to enter into someones directory, this is the first thing you would type. It will give you a list of files that the person is currently serving.
cd: after typing dir use this to enter another directory, which is another one of their folders. To know when to use this, their file would look something like this, "rurouni kenshin". ie: "cd rurouni kenshin".
get: This command is to actually get the file. When you see the file you want, which would have to list its file format, you would use this command. The file would have to look something like this, "rurouni kenshin - 45.avi" ie: "get rurouni kenshin - 45.avi" do not include the file size into that command.
cd..: This will return you to the previous directory. Just type "cd.." without parenthesis, and you will be brought back to directory before the one you are currently in. Then type "dir" and you will then be given the list of what it has in that directory.
Those are the main commands needed for using irc.
