Can someone tell me what does that show mean? I watched all the episodes and I still don't undertand the meaning to that show. I heard it was very good but I still don't see whats the big deal? So can someone tell me whats the meaning?

There's a lot of symbolism in FLCL. I've seen it several times now and I still don't have it all. If the gist of the show is what I believe it to be, then the good folks at Gainax are genuises. Of course, I could be reading way more into it... *g*

Furi Kuri is an sound like "BAM" OR "SLAM" usually used in comics. It has nothing to fo with fondiling or sex. Then again you know Gainax.....LONG LIVE EBICHU!!!!!!!

FLCL technically doesnt have any meaning. its sorta a mix of fura kura, which i think means chesnuts, brest tweaking, and is also a sound effect. but its probably doesnt mean anything and was just made that way to make us think about it even harder.

The most common theory (at least the one I have seen the most) is that it has something to do with puberty... I don't know about u guys, but i just got hair on my balls and a deeper voice... I want robots... When do i get head robots?! lol

The show is hard to understand but the artist that made was just practiceing and he decided to make it an anime.It is about the girl I don't how you spell her name but she is a space piret and she is in love with oh I forgot his name he is in the end of the show basically the super powerful guy and she has to kill some robots and try and distroy a town but she has to have a head to do so.So she uses the small boys head and then he kinda falls in love with her even though he is in the 6th grade and she likes him but she has to leave at the end and she tells the boy to wait untill he is older.The reason the robots came out of the boys head was because when she hits him with her guitar it causes a gap between the two sides of your brain and then they start to form a weird robot.Kinda confuseing but you tend to start to know it once you have seen it 10 times!!

FLCL was based of a manga that Gainax original produced back in 1999 before the series was even created. But FLCL is about puberty and growing up and the manga gets a cross a lot better. The giant robots coming out of Naota-kuns head and the horns are all about the aqward phase that is puberty, and the whole living up to an older brother that all succes ful but and trying to live in shi shadow but finding your way to be who you want to be. Also the series is made just to screw with you head.

Another thing I would like to know is what is the meaning behind the huge Medical Mechanica factory thing? What does it represent on a philosophical level? The steam clouding everything and essentially making the characters feel like they were in their own world is a very interesting angle I would like to explore. Also, in the 4th episode, what does Naota's finally being able to swing his own guitar and "save the world" mean? I stay up every single night and watch the episode play twice on Adult Swim - once before midnight and then again early in the morning. It helps keep my mind distracted from Star Wars Galaxies :) Any way, I think that there is SO much symbolism in this series and damn I want to know it all, even if my fraternity brothers think I'm a total retard for wanting to do so!
