There is also another radio program called "Music for the Master". I just listened to it. They did the most amazing version of "O Come, O Come Emmauel" that I have ever heard! I had no idea that it was Gregorian Chant! :)

The above is an English translation of a great 700-year-old (pre-Protestant) Latin hymn, "Veni, veni, Emmanuel."

It was composed in the 13th century and first published in a hymnal that had "Catholic" in its title. (Marty Luther was then merely a nightmare in his great-great-great-great-grandfather's sleep.)

Prudent Catholics will not be tuning in to a radio station run by a tiny anti-Catholic sect (WELS, Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod). They would be likely to run into all kinds of theological errors in such a place. Why waste time there, when Catholic broadcasts are available?:

John.... can you tell me please why we call Jesus the "Prince of Peace"? The angels proclaimed at Jesus' birth, "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men." Did Jesus bring peace to the world? Afterall, aren't we in a war today in Iraq and Afghanistan? Thanks:)

The peace that Christ brings is described in the following quote taken from the Vatican Website:

‘The liberation offered by Christ removes, in addition to sin, the obstacles preventing friendship and a covenant relationship with God. From this standpoint it is a reconciliation.Paul wrote to the Christians of Corinth: "God... through Christ reconciled us to himself" (2 Cor 5:18). This reconciliation is obtained by the sacrifice of the Cross. From it flows that peace which consists in the fundamental agreement of the human will with the divine. This peace not only affects relations with God, but also concerns relations between human beings. Christ "is our peace", because he unites all who believe in him, reconciling them "to God in one body" (cf. Eph 2:14-16).’

God can never be blamed for a world without peace, since God is only good. Our wars and conflicts throughout the world are always the fault of mankind turning away from God.

Only God is perfect!

To whom are you referring? If you mean me, I’ve just returned to the forum after months of absence, and posted my previous posting approximately five minutes after reading your posts on this thread. It’s extremely easy to answer questions such as yours as the Church has been asked them many times before and, since she has the fullness of truth, has answers to the said questions.

As the Church does have that fullness of truth, it’s obvious that anyone interested in Christology need look no further than the Church of Christ Himself, the Catholic Church, for answers. Therefore, it’s unnecessary to go any further than www.vatican.va

Incidentally, Jeannie, I’m surprised you thought that forum regulars here were unable to answer your ’question’ (which you obviously knew the answer to anyway). From what I’ve seen in the recent deluge of your threads the forum stalwarts have been more than capable of responding to any of your posts.
