Can you please ban the name George W Bush from the forum?????? I'm sick reading about George W and how wonderful the Republican party is!I can't decide if this is a George W Fan Club forum or a forum for Catholics (American Catholics only of course!...or those interested in American politics!

Is our lurker unkind as well to the insolent anti- Bush, or just to Bush? Personally, I'm tired of seeing the Presisdent vilified daily by that sad sack. It's anti- Bush that needs deleting.

But talking about death , if you're dead , you don't know what will happen or do you ?? __ I think that's obviously clear ??

You're right that we don't know exactly what happens after we die. But suppose for a minute that there is a God and that He does know. Now if this God wants to show you the way to life after death (where you probably won't have to see Hitler) instead of eternal torture, wouldn't you want Him to?
What if someone told you that they died and came back to earth and wanted to tell you what happened (this has happened with many people, I read a book on it)? I bet you would listen because you are curious - we all are curious about what we can't know. Ok, so Jesus did that. He died, went to hell, and came back to tell about it. So trust God, because He's trying to show you the way to life instead of death.
You say that we can't know exactly what happens when we die, and that's true. But I know Someone who knows, and He loves us enough to let us know how to find life! God has your best interests in mind, so trust Him more than you would another person who came back with only a small sample of eternity. God knows about it all.

Laurent, The Good News of Jesus Christ is that when you die you can go to heaven. That is what the big fuss is about Christianity, we do know what happens after you die.In Christ, Bill

Laurent, what I was trying to say is that Jesus knows what hell is like (He's been there) and He doesn't want you to have to endure that torture in hell forever.
