Vatican official, who is an American: "People in Rome are becoming more and more aware that there's a problem with John Kerry, and a potential scandal with his apparent profession of his Catholic faith and some of his stances, particularly abortion."From Time Magazine Online: A Test of Kerry's Faith

(Kerry quotes taken from the article above)Kerry said: We have a separation of church and state in this country. As John Kennedy said very clearly, I will be a President who happens to be Catholic, not a Catholic President.
Kerry describes himself as a believing and practicing Catholic, married to another believing and practicing Catholic.
The site further tells us that just last week he made a rare appearance on the Senate floor to vote against a bill that would make harming a fetus a separate offense during the commission of a crime. The vote put Kerry on the same side as abortion-rights advocates in opposing specific legal rights for the unborn—and against nearly two-thirds of his fellow Senators.
God says: If then any be in Christ a new creature, the old things are passed away, behold all things are made new. 2 Cor. 5:17 (DRV)
Ironically enough, when Kerry was speaking at a Mississippi church, he criticized Bush's "compassionate conservatism" and quoted James 2:14, "What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds?" Perhaps we should ask the same about Kerry.
God says: I know thy works, that thou art neither cold, nor hot. I would thou wert cold, or hot. But because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold, not hot, I will begin to vomit thee out of my mouth. Rev. 3:15-16 (DRV)

Another thing to consider, for pur Politician friends.Luke 14:26.26. If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.(KJV)
These days we hear about how we can lead two lives. One as secular peoel living in a secular society, and one religious. Kerry has to be ( in his claims at least) for abortion and Gay rghts, even if they are agaisnt Christain Principles. Because he must put American law abovve his rleigious beleifs. The Verse above shows the error to this.
Likewise, the idea that I can lead a secular life, IE, casual sex, drinking, immoral jokes and habbits, and still be Chrisyain, is hypocritical, one cannot serve two masters. Either he will lvoe one, and hate the other, or dispise one and love the other.
further, form James, aslo KJV , Chapter 1, verse 8.
8. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
I agree that, as Chrfistains, if we wher ein politics we shoudl nto impose our beelifs upon others, however, we shoudl still operate within the dictates of our conceince as Chrisyains, and place first the service of God, not the service of a country. We shoudl not enact laws that are contrary to our conceince.
We may enact or support laws that run agaisnt what we wish, for the sake of freedom, but never shoudl we spport immorality wholesale.

Kerry says "We have a separation of church and state in this country. As John Kennedy said very clearly, I will be a President who happens to be Catholic, not a Catholic President."In other words: I promise NOT to allow my "faith" to altar or change any of my perspectives, world view, or actions, for the sake of earthly gain.

What he is saying is he will not live his faith. He is in error and is going against Church teaching. For more information see: here and here
