Aunt Bee?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : FRL friends : One Thread

I'm worried about Aunt Bee. I clearly stated two days ago, that Kit and I would probally stop by there for some free fudgies, and she hasn't asked what kind of nuts we want in it. Is she off, talking to the trees again? Training for a baking marathon?

And Helen has been awfully quiet also. 'Course, that is kinda a good thing in her case (just kidding, kiddo). But, I'm trying to make plans here, and I need to know about Bee. So, if you see her, just let her know we miss her.

Just bumping this up to catch Aunt Bee's attention.

Well, it's night time so bumpity bump. Anyone hear from her yet?

Bumping Aunt Bee? In public, no public!

(Sounds rather, "presumptious" if I may say so myself...)

Lol Robert, well said. Everything Aunt Bee writes sounds sumptuous. I hope she is alright.

Bumping Bee again!

-- Robert & Jean (getingwarmer@ga.inthespring), May 09, 2004.

Hmmm. Still no word from our Aunt Bee huh? I'll wait a bit longer and then, if we still do not hear anything, we will discuss taking emergency action.

It's been way too long since we had some yummies here! How's a person supposed to get inspiration!?!?!

I t'will be out of town for a couple dow\ing the four-letter w word in a Alabama power plant ...

Keep bumping Bee, will ya!

-- Robert & Jean (getingwarmer@ga.inthespring), May 11, 2004.

I hope someone hears from Aunt Bee soon.

-- Carol (c@oz.com), May 14, 2004.

Ok, I think we've waited long enough. As FRLian ChiefTin, I hereby order the following actions:

1 - The NorthEastern Stealth Geese Regiment is to be deployed immedeately towards her last known location and we'll hope for the best.

2 - The Chief FRLian Investigatress is hereby requested to initiate an investigation and attempt to contact her using backup procecures.

3 - All FRLians should be monitoring devices for any signs of her, and are expected to report here upon the re-establisment of contact.

Further action may be required, we'll see. Hopefully, these initial actions will be successful.

Bumping Bee.

-- Robert & Jean (getingwarmer@ga.inthespring), May 15, 2004.

My, my, my! Here I Bee, bumped as it were-LOL! The stealth geese were pecking at my door this very morn! Of course the FRLian Chief Investigatress got to me first!

My absence has been due to a number of things. Hub was hospitalized for almost a month. 89 year old uncle required a visit when his broken hip wasn't healing, and I had to go back to Motor City (that's Detroit, Michigan for you Carol) and I actually got to see some Canadian geese while I was there! I've been trying to catch up with life's little details, sigh, and yes I have been talking to the trees!

Lon, you and Kit are welcome here anytime! I'd love to see you both and show you parts of this little berg. I'm bettin' Kit would love to see the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, and Collosal Cave, Sabino Canyon and Seven Falls, among other things! When are ya gonna get here (she said, tapping her foot)??

It'll probably be fresh pecan season by the time you get here, but if you prefer another nut, you say! My email is real, so I'll be waiting to hear from ya.

In the meantime, anyone for a slice of Praline Cheesecake??

-- Aunt Bee (Aunt__Bee@hotmail.com), May 16, 2004.

Yippee!!!! Our Aunt Bee is safe and sound. Well, safe at least ;-)

Hopefully things will all work out for you, Aunt Bee, and you'll be able to stop in more. We missed you!!!!

What a sigh of relief! Since you have returned to us, I have recalled the Northeastern Stealth Geese Detachment. Also, I would hereby like to commend our Chief FRLian Investigatress for another fine job!

After the cheesecake is gone, maybe Aunt Bee will make us some yummy chocolate deserts----

-- (ChiefTin@Aunt.Bee), May 16, 2004.

Hiya Aunt Bee. Cheesecake, yes please. I'm glad you're okay, but I feel a bit guilty, us naggin' you for treats while your hubby has been ill. No wonder you haven't had time to pop in. I hope things settle down for you now and sincerely hope your hubby is much better.

Darn four-letter "w" thing ....

I had lost my password, and a kind person re-sent it to me.

(((Aunt Bee))))

HEY! when you are in Detroit Michigan, you are close enough to come spend a day with ME!

-- SAR01 (busy@pc.com), May 18, 2004.

Don't w... too hard Robert.

Glad you got in safely SARO1.

-- Carol (c@oz.com), May 19, 2004.

So did Lon and Kit make it to Aunt Bee's?? Did Robert actually w ... ? Enquiring mules want to know.

-- helen (hey@here.ya.are!), May 22, 2004.

Lon and Kit are STILL working on the new place. Carport is half finished, just one more set of railings and steps, then some landscaping. J came by on Thursday, while Kit and I were on the road, and didn't even drive one single nail! I am tired, sore, tired, stove up, bruised, cut and scraped (did I mention tired?). But I'm 42 pounds lighter than I was in September, and feel better than I have in three years.

Still planning the big trip, but we've put off the departure date until maybe June 5 or so. Even Kit is really looking forward to getting on the road in the camper.

Glad you got back in, Helen. Do stay awhile, and amuse us with a story or something. How's school, job, farm, mule?

Okay Lon, it's the 24th in Oz, so "HAPPY BIRTHDAY Kit" I hope it's a goody for him, with lots of music, choc's and girls to dance with.

Pity you and J. missed each other. Maybe he left Redneck as a calling card. Better check the larder and the 'fridge.

-- Carol (c@oz.com), May 24, 2004.

Carol, you are such a nice person! Imagine, living on the bottom of the world, upside down and in the shade, just to be the first to wish Kit a happy birthday.

Actually, untill I read your last post, I had forgotten all about it! We celebrate his, his mom's, his aunt's and his cousin's, next weekend with a trip to the grandparent's house. I haven't even bought a present for him, I've been so busy, trying to finish the house in time for the trip, but I'll take him to town for lunch today. Yesterday afternoon, we moved his new hot tub onto the new deck, so maybe I'll get it hooked up today, and it can be a birthday treat tomorow.

Anyway, he grinned real big when I told him you said "happy birthday", and he sends you a special hug for being first, and especially for being upside down.
