You won’t find the Assumption recorded anywhere in Sacred Scripture. Thank God, the Catholic faith is not based on Scripture alone. Catholic teaching for the assumption has been handed down to us through Apostolic Tradition. It is mentioned is several writings outside of scripture. You can read more about it here:http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/02006b.htm
For excellent Catholic reasoning behind the Assumption you can read the encyclical on the Assumption entitled MUNIFICENTISSIMUS DEUS here at:

Hi Nako,Welcome!
I just want to add to Ed's great reply that even though Mary's Assumption into Heaven is not explicitly stated in Scripture, that there are examples in Scripture of good and holy people being assumed into heaven. So, the idea of assumption is a Biblical idea.
The idea that Mary was assumed into heaven comes down to us from Sacred Tradition. Writings of early Christians show a belief that Mary was assumed into Heaven. The idea that this truth was generally accepted by early Christians and has been handed down as part of Sacred Tradition is similar to how the canon of Scripture was determined.
You will be tested in your faith by non-Catholic Christians. They will ask you to support everything you believe based only on the Bible. Do not fall into their trap.
Catholics do not pretend that the Bible is all we need. Protestants say this. In fact, the Bible itself does not say that it is all we need.
You can explain and defend the truth, but only God can help them actually believe the truth. Stand firm. I will pray for you.

The Blessed Virgin Mary's Assumption into Heaven is told in metaphor in John's Apocalypse (Revelation) chapter 12.
