This Psalms verse reminds us to that the Word of the Lord was given to guide us in light and in darkness. For the Light truly does overcome the darkness and our Light is Jesus Christ.

Let us live by His word which is Truth.

I am reminded by the Apostle John not to just pray and claim to have faith, but to live everyday in Jesus. To me, "walking as He walked" also means actively loving Him and others and carrying the cross He gives me everyday. When Jesus walked in the world, did he not suffer? Should we expect no less? I also hear from these words that we must live the truth and obey Him in all things. This is difficult to do becuase of my pride and arrogance. I am reminded I need Him to do anything good.

The openning lines of Psalm 63 have always been and are now my absolute favorites. I have never been able to exhaust the spiritual riches in these simple words.

O God, my God, I pine for you. My body thirsts for you, my soul longs for you; like a dry weary land, without water. Thus I gaze on you in the sanctuary, where I have seen your power and glory.

Hi Olly, What a wonderful idea! I will repost something that I posted recently in the "Ask Jesus" forum. I love this verse.

O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out! Romans 11:33 KJV

I laughed at myself as I thought of this forum. We all try to explain and understand God and His ways, when really, our knowledge is so limited. I heard something about St. Thomas Aquinas - not sure if it's true or not. But he is considered to be the greatest Catholic theologian for his work. Well I heard that near his death he saw a vision of heaven or something and said of his work, "It's all rubbish," because he realized that in comparison to the greatness of God, he understood nothing. Amazing, huh? I am very excited for heaven! lol :)
