conversion updategreenspun.com : LUSENET : Catholic : One Thread |
A year and a half ago, I posted questions about converting, expressing doubts in myself and what was right. I am just putting in an update because there were wonderful answers from people that I contemplated, and ultimately, feel that it's important to share with you the outcome. Much has changed in my life, mainly, that I am now Catholic, after the RCIA process and converting on Holy Saturday. I spent time in class discussing different issues, talking with both the priest and my peers, and I feel 100% that this was the right choice. I know that I will continue to have questions about things, which is normal - it's human nature - but that God does answer those questions if I turn them into prayers. Our wedding is planned for September, and it will be in a beautiful church that we are planning on raising our children in and sending them to school. Thank you for your thoughtful, kind responses when I wasn't sure where to turn. For anyone out there looking to convert or coming to church with questions and uncertainties, just keep coming, and the answers will follow. I am living proof that God is listening, and that he does answer you when you ask.
