Several posts have been critical of the tribunal review process. Some posters feel that their situations were handled improperly or in violation of canon law.
Why does the Church have canon law? Answer- For consistency. But in the pastoral care of individuals -- priests, bishops, tribunals, even the Holy Father, have latitude.
Why? Because we're all human.
Many people have become upset, even bitter, because their marriages were ruled valid by tribunals. Others because their marriages were ruled null.
Bottomline -- Filter the biased opinions. Throw them in the trash.
Consult your local priest. He will help you.
