sweet.they really arent chick style, however, you really scared me with that one. note the difference: chick tracts spend their time lying about people to inspire hatred for specific religions. these catholic tracts appear to be rather pro catholic, without the need to bash others. that is one of the reasons i appreciate the catholic church so much, we accept our doctrine as true without needing to tear others down.

True, I do prefer them to the attacking tracts usually offered. But wat I emnt by Chick style was that hey used comic book format, Like Chick. Chick is the only comic book tract maker I know of, aside from these... and these far post Datethefirst Chick tract. However, Chick makes them into little booklets, rather than pamplet form, so his tracts arent relly tracts at all, but are Mini comics.
I think the Catholic group woudl best do soemthign similar, and erhaps redo the Art, it needs imprvement.
Other than that I liked the tracts.

"that is one of the reasons i appreciate the catholic church so much, we accept our doctrine as true without needing to tear others down. "Unfortunately, I believe this is idealistic but not representative of today's situation. It happens from both sides of the fence to a great degree. Protestants will call Catholics heretics, idol worshippers, blasphemers, etc , while Catholics will call Protestants heretics, apostate, unsaved, divisive, unbiblical, Mary haters, etc. It goes on and on.
One thing's for sure. When we go before the Lord, all arrogance, pride, etc will be silenced. I know I myself often have the problem of pride and arrogance, and I pray for the Lord will transform me by His divine life. I need His mercy and grace.

Sorry Olly, I can’t let you get away with that. It’s not an equal tit- for-tat situation. I’ve heard thousands of Catholics talk about protestants and I’ve never heard any of them call protestants “apostate, unsaved or Mary-haters”. The worst I’ve heard Catholics say about protestants is that they’re ignorant heretics, but if they try to live a good life and we pray for them they’ll be saved. Whereas I’ve heard protestants tell me the Catholic church is the most evil thing in the world, the spawn of Satan, the whore of Babylon, “sub-Christian” or not Christian at all, that the pope is the Anti-Christ and that unless I cut myself off from the Catholic church I will surely go to hell. What’s worse, to be called a heretic (that is, that you only have part of the total Christian faith) or that you are totally evil, idolatrous, non-Christian etc?The problem is that although it doesn’t affect our Catholic faith to say that Protestants have part of the Christian truth; but when a protestant thinks about it, he HAS to vilify Catholicism (even though most protestants try to be polite most of the time) otherwise he has a problem justifying the very existence of his church. His 16th century forefathers separated themselves, in disobedience to Christ’s command, from the Catholic Church Christ founded. The only possible excuse the protestant can find for this is to say that the Catholic Church had been taken over by Satan and so had to be rejected and a new church founded.

I am sorry, but even on tis baord I have seen anti-Protestant discrimination. soem catholics, though not all, ARE rather vocal about it. Anri-Cahtoisism is just more vocal, simley beause the Catolic chruch is easier to misunderstand...And because we live in a Protestant majority society.

i was, to be specific, refering to our mass and doctrine. i have never been to a mass where we tore down other churches, but i have been to all sorts of religious 'services' where the whole doctrine seemed to be "hate the other guy." THATS what i was referring to... that catholic doctrine isnt based on others, but on our own walk of faith.

Zarove, I apologize for any Catholics who have vilified protestants on this forum and I hope I haven’t done so with my ignorant ramblings.“Anri-Cahtoisism is just more vocal, simley beause the Catolic chruch is easier to misunderstand” – This is a chicken-and-egg argument. The catholic church is “easy to misunderstand” to the many people who have been brought up to believe calumnies about Catholics. Some of these have lasted for centuries, passed on through each generation. And I don’t think vilification of Catholics is more extreme and widespread than vilification of protestants “because we live in a Protestant majority society”. The situation is pretty much the same in countries where Catholics far outnumber protestants. It seems there is something about Catholicism which makes people either love it or hate it, far more extremely than any other religion.

As the late archbishop Fulton J. Sheen said, few people hate the Catholic Church; but a great many people hate what they think the Catholic Church is.
