I had an inquiry today asking about the benefits of massage for people living with depression / anxiety. Apart from the usual response of relaxation - touch, circulatory system etc... I was unsure of the specific benefits. Does anyone have information or could anyone lead me in the right direction?? thanks

The Touch Institute is a good place to start. They have done quite a bit of research into the benefits of massage, and also have listings of other research. Their abstracts on massage and depression are at http://www.miami.edu/touch- research/Massage1.html#anchor1549198Also, I search at http://www.massagetoday.com/ on the word depression brings up 6 pages of search results, some of which may be useful.
