Does the local System account have the network access rights, if it runs as MSSQL Server service logon account in Windows 2000 domains?

According to the SQL Server Books Online topic, Service Accounts, "In Windows 2000, the local system account does allow network access."

Dear susan, If the account belongs to admin group, we can use for Service login account.For normal user it wont allow.
