Question for the F4 1000 owners - how hot does it run?greenspun.com : LUSENET : MV Agusta F4 : One Thread |
What temperatures are you getting when at a stop or driving in traffic? I'm wondering if the 1000cc tends to run hotter than the 750. Thank you.

My 1000 runs normally on a temperature of 70/80c. In slow traffic it comes near 90c. When standing still it goes to 102c max before it drops back to about 94c. I had a 750 before and my experience is that the 750 runs hotter than the 1000.

Thank you. In Fahrenheit, that would be:80C = 176F; 90C = 194F; and 102 = 215.6

Hi Allan, some weeks ago when it was 33°C outside and I was in traffic in town with my F4 the temperature was 122°C. Andre Goggi ment that this is a little too hot. I don´t know what it is in Fahrenheit - sorry. My F4 1000 is much hotter than my 750! The maximum of my 750 was at a temperature outside 38°C (Varese/Italy) in traffic 114°C. - André of Germany

No problem, I can convert for the metrically challenged:33°C = 91F 122°C = 252F 38°C = 100F 114°C = 237F

My F1000 runs with ambient temperatures below 20°C between 75 and 80° C,between 20 and 28°C goes up to 85°C at speeding above 80 km/h.
In trafic jams it goes up to 92°C in temp. below 20°C and may go up to 102°C at stilstand in hot situations.
Is quite similar as my previous 750.
On the other hand heat evacuation is different as I feel a lot more heat below my legs at low speed and at stilstand compared to my 750 F4.
regards
Patrick

I would say my 1000 does get hotter quicker than the 750 I owned before it,It also on hotter days (25C), gets to 102C and although the fans are running it will stay there untill I move away, sometimes lifting the revs to 2000 will cool it down quicker, I suppose the water is going around quicker. Also I think the panels are different to the 750, as they seem to go very floppy with the heat, something I never noticed in 4 1/2 years of 750 ownership
