i marry someone in a civil court just for immigration purposes and now we are filing a divorce. there were no strings attach between the two of us. i dont even know where is she now. and now i want to marry my fiancee. can we get married in the catholic church? what if i dont tell the church about the things happend in the past would they find out about it? me and my fiancee are both catholics anyway.

This has been discussed ad nauseam in this forum. Search for annulments and such and you shall find more opinions (including the truth) on this matter than you can ever wish for...

Jack,

You will need to obtain an annulment. In this case the issue is a "lack of form." Such cases are handled more quickly and easily than other cases. Talk to you local pastor or Diocesan Tribunal. You will need to provide them with: a copy of your baptismal certificate, a copy of your marriage license, a copy of your final divorce decree. Once that process is successfully completed you will be able to marry in the church.
