Sex is so pwoerful a draw to us, we see it everywhere.

She is worshipped perhap above all, for what harm des the lust of teflesh when fulfulled do? and we see the tradgedies that follow.

pluto-the gd so the Undeworkd, btu also of wealth, and Money beign the root fo all evil, we still tend to measur peoels worth by there Bank acount.

Zeus-The king of the gods, and pwrr. men pursue power over others at any costs, even ignoring all else to supress and me themselves supreme.

Caeser-Thouhg our leaders ar emocked and ridiculed, we progressivley give away our rights and fredoms tot he tstae, which grows more an more socialistic, and makes us moe and mor dependant.

No linger in the churhc and ministrs do we find out Morlas, but in the state, no longr is god who charts out destiny, but the sttae.

We owe compelte allegeice tot he state which tells us how to live and what is moral and provided our needs.

We bow to its alter seemignly dauly these days.

dyonisus-The god of revery and wine. His worhsio is linked to aphrodite, and he offers parties, alcahol to excess, drug use, and the excsacy o madness, the party scene is wher his qorship si most seen, and he consumed much of our society... he brigns only sorrow an misury and deaht in th end though.

Hephestus-The works of man and his hands, as we vlaue bothte mateiral wealth of our world and our abiliy to manufactre, forgettign that god mad eit all on his own, even the matieals we use. we vlaue Mans craftmanshi; and forget about God's.

appollo- The god of light and prophecy, we se ein hiss preasence a Human Ideal, if we think withhte flesh. He lacks mercty and love,btu has strenght and beuty, and can take what he wants, and he is an ideal we pursie.

Adonis- Looks handsome, and speaks well, and we worship this ability over what truly maters, whats inside, and nto without.

its a shame that you are correct, zarove, if we were to choose greek 'gods' to represent our society it would be many like those you mentioned, and none like promethius, who represented compassion and understanding, love for humanity, and suffering to bring greatness to others...

but in truth, the idols of our society dont even need greek names to make them known. they are money, sex, power, drugs and alcohol, relativism, and more. its a world of the morals of the godless vs. the morals of the kingdom of God and the ever unanswered question is ARE WE DOING OUR PART TO FIGHT BACK?
