is it wrong or sinfull to use words like 'f*ck'?

Answers

Using such language is more of a social issue than a moral issue. It comes across ignorant, immature and socially inept, but not necessarily immoral. Using the name of God inappropriately is a different matter, and does specifically violate the commandment of God.

personally i think that using those words arer not nesicerally sinfull unless there is a malicous intent behind them. but almost all swear wrds will come acrossed as immature anc childish

Sorry, but I must disagree. I think using profanities is a sin. Ask yourself this, would you say the word if Jesus was standing in front of you? If not, then perhaps that's a clue that someone who is called to be holy as God is holy should not be using curses or profanity.

No impure word or expression is ever heard from a soul in the state of grace. PERIOD. Especially words blaspheming the holy name of God, or His clergy or the faith. It just is not permitted; common sense will tell you that. Many souls who have sinned in this way will be sent to hell for eternity. Some may have to suffer in Purgatory for a long time, having confessed to the sin before their death. I suppose it's by far the most prevalent, common sin. Everybody is guilty of it sometime. Is it human, to sin by saying bad words? Yes; it is. Saint Peter himself confessed to Jesus, on his knees: ''Lord; depart from me, for I am a man of unclean lips.''

Jesus didn't say, ''Don't worry, Simon. You're human; just forget it.'' He saw compunction and sorrow in His friend's eyes. The act of contrition. FOR SIN; nothing but sin. And He forgave his new apostle.

He'll also forgive you and me. But we must resolve to guard the purity of our speech forever. No more of curses or profanity or obscene things. Absolutely none!

I am shocked that even after knowing many things, we are missing importan on t things. I am with David and Eugene. I remember when Isaiah had the vision of God, cried in despair "Alas! I am a unclean man with unclean lips leaving among unclean people." Jesus himself said what goes inside the mouth does not defile, but what comes out from the mouth...what comes out from the mouth comes from the heart. If swearing words are meant to be just idle words without meaning it, even then, they are most sinful, we know it is written, "In the last day, men will have give account of every idle word spoken...your words either condemn your acquit you."

If we are able to control our mouth, we have managed around 75% discipline in our spiritual lives and will manage to avoid most occasions of sin even in the social realm. The rest of the spiritual discipline is easy just connected to this. I think it will do us all good, if we read and meditate on the reflections of Imitation of Christ by Thomas AKempis.
